So, I put in my LEDs Friday afternoon (Fogs, Headlights, Reverse, Parking, Rear turns, and DTRLs). Thanks to a few chats with Chris, we got the order and some questions squared away.

I got my headlight yesterday and will put some pics in for those too once I get that figured out. It looks like they'll have some mounting too. (4/8 edit).
    ---

FIRST, you do NOT need to remove the grill on the 2014... which was awesome because I didn't want to do that.

    ---

Resistor placement. This truck was made for it. I used a 3/32 drill bit to tap the metal before screwing in the screws Chris provided.

If you look at this picture, you'll see I drilled a hole in the plastic to allow me to pull the tubing away from where I mounted the resistor. Good ole zip ties.

I had to bend the resistors a little in the front to fit the curve where I mounted them:

I wrapped some bulbs in electric tape, and put a little folded piece of electrical tape in some sockets to keep some loose fitting bulbs in place (drlts, parking, reverse as I recall). Ex:

    Other tidbits I came across:

    1. TEST your lights before you put your lights back together. You have a 50/50 chance your LED bulb is correct; I had to turn around a few.

    2. Don't forget to make sure your spade is pushed all the way in.

    3. May as well mention not to leave your bulbs where they can fall in places you can't reach! Somehow I accidentally pushed the DRLT bulb into the lens area. It took a few minutes to figure out how to get it out. Go duct tape and cheap screwdriver!

I finally figured out how to load pics to my Member Gallaries and then just c/p link into post. That might be good to put somewhere. I was in the Test area looking at what folks where doing.

I remember when I was installing my parking lights the LED bulb fell into the housing. It's a good thing they went straight to the bottom of the housing and not visible. Next time i'll just secure it tighter with electric tape. LOL

    Hi dastaco

I have a 14 Tacoma and I'm waiting for my load resistor and led drtl and parking LEDs. It looks like you spice into the yellow and blue and the white and black for the load resistor correct? Also awesome pics.. Also do I have to drill holes or can I just buy some tap screws? And mount them like u did?
