I got the pioneer mvh370bt which doesn't have satellite but sounds great and works great with my android phone streaming Spotify and making calls. I don't have experience installing any satellite receivers so I can't comment there. I've been in vehicles with them and prefer Spotify. I do recommend buying through crutchfield though. They have great customer service and sent me everything that I needed for install.

The only problem I've ever had (knock on wood) with my '06 that has 187k miles is that it isn't 4wd. The cats and 02 sensors have been replaced but I consider that general maintenance.

I haven't really had any issues with the truck I bought used 12/14 with 133K on it, I do have a question. there aren't really any off road shops near me to call so I am relying on the site of like minded people. I just installed OME Dakar leaf packs on 09 DCSB TRDS SB, I Torqued all bolts once weight was on the axle to include the U Bolts, I did have them tightened (Tq was 89F# so I tightened to 30F# before lowering the truck), should I have torqued the U bolts totally before lowering the truck? I now have a shudder at start up and using a go pro I notice the axle moves roughly 2" upwards with axle wrap (I don't know if it should move at all and if so by how much). My question and assumption: I am going to recheck torque on all bolts, should I take the load off the axle for the U bolts or loosen/re-torque the U Bolts with no load on the axle or does this even matter? Leafs are flat and seated so I don't understand why I have this "axle wrap" shudder going on with much stiffer leafs when I didn't have it with the weaker collapsed OEM leafs. ANY helpful info / advise would be appreciated.

Mine is an 07 with 151,000 miles on it. About a year ago the compass/temp display stopped working. Using you-tube videos for guidance I replaced a 17cent resistor to repair the problem. Last month the HVAC fan stopped working. Paid about $200 for parts and labor at an independent shop. Shocks were replaced about 18 months ago, but at about 125,000 miles I don't consider that bad. I'm on my 3rd set of aftermarket tires. Rear brakes have been replaced once, twice on the front. Plugs and serpentine belt were replaced at 100,000. Other than oil changes that is all I've spent.

At 38,000 miles the rear window started leaking. The local dealer replaced it on their dime even though I was slightly out of warranty.

Not bad for an 07 with 150k! Mostly routine maintenance.

Day one off the lot: "Get Your Head Out of Your A$$ Button Broken" (i.e. Horn Not Functional)

Dealer opened up steering wheel cover. Determined the ground wire for the horn switch was never connected or had come loose.

Only other issue was after my 5k mile checkup and tire rotation. Had sleigh bells when driving. Took it to dealer two days after service. They say everything mechanically was fine. They checked torque on all the lugs and they were fine. Said they re-seated the center caps just in case one had been "loose".

    Sleigh bells disappeared.

My headliner right at the windshield above the passenger seat rattles when my twin 10" subwoofers are booming deep base. Not sure that's inherently a defect though?

Battery only, not the alternator? Seems weird the battery would die in the middle of a trip like that.

2012 TRD OffRoad at 30k had front end totally lock up on me, released with a big bang. Did it three more times, even after dealer had in shop for two weeks. They claimed never could find issue. Happened off road, happened at intersection when light changed. They finally replaced front end, and charged me $3,500 claiming the warranty was void since i added an additional spring to level the truck after putting on a shell. Done with that dealer for service.

In addition to stuff in first post originally, I just had a wheel bearing replaced at 64k miles as it had gone bad.

The ONLY issue I ever had with my 2008 was the Rugged Trails cracked and split at 5,000 Miles so the Dealer gave me 5 new Yokohama's. I'm getting a new 2015 in the next couple days and just pray it is as reliable as my 08 has been.

Sounds pretty good. I'm sure you'll be fine... I seem to have bad luck with vehicles.

Bought an 06 off road with 71k in May and so far:
    Replaced both front calilers
    A/c compressor locked up
    Temp/compass went out
Frame, air bag, leaf spring and a couple other recalls
Fender flare paint fading (impulse red)

Was expecting it for almost a 10 year old truck but that powertrain will run forever

About to do that myself. Picking up joints tomorrow when I get paid and will replace as soon as I can get the time.

    2011 86,900 miles

AC blower wheel chirping like crazy, replaced with a new from Amazon after cleaning multiple times.
front u joint is going out so I'm replacing all three
steering rack appears to be leaking, dealer didn't want to fix. They claimed it was "normal seepage" whatever that means.
headlights are on back order due to lens melting from dtrl.
there's a bump somewhere in the steering when I hit bumps just right.

I got the Taco 2 years ago with 56,000 miles.
