have any of you ever been through La Dee flats out in clackamas? How is it? Im planning on taking a day trip out to mt.hood later this week.

Planning on going to timothy lake or roaring river to do a little swimming/picnic. I happened to find La Dee flats while i was looking for stuff to do around mt.hood and was just wondering if anyone has been out there before and can give me a little info on whats there.

Thanks, I'll have to give them a call.

Anyone dealt with fixing fatigue in body panels? The floor near one of the front body mounts is cracked. Not quite sure how to go about fixing that...

I had the same issue before I got a cage. Right around the front cab mounts. I filled the cracks with kitty hair, and then in the cab laid down a few layers of carbon/kevlar on the floors to stiffen it up. Then I did a layer of sound deadner and foam. It's held up for years. The cage helps I'm sure...

That really worked?! I've never heard of that solution. I guess all it needs is a little extra support.

Ideally I would find a rolled yota that I could get a straight frame from. I'm thinking it would be nice to have a lower portion of totalled cab to go full 45acp on and cut the floor out. Do a proper tube frame floor with a cage tied into it. I could get all that done on that cab then swap my cab over to it. It would really cut down on the down time for my pickup.

Fuuuuck I hope the Stimson gig turns into a permanent spot. Really need to start raking in some money I can depend on for awhile haha

You will regret that man. I am keeping my truck, paying for school and modifying it a little at a time.

This I already know, but the guy who's buying it is a lurker on TW and I think he will be able to finish the old girl. I am looking for a 90s 4runner if you see any sweetdeals

Are you stuck on a 4runner? I think the 90's runners were kind of a black eye for Toyota. The 22RE and 3.slow are both poor engine choices for something that heavy. At least find one with a 3.4! I would strongly suggest an 80 series landcruiser, or even a clean 100 series. They are built much stronger and are just an all around better, more reliable vehicle, all for the same price point as an equal 4runner. Just sayin'- http://bend.craigslist.org/cto/5058813701.html

Or if you are on a tighter budget- http://bend.craigslist.org/cto/5098705443.html
