    Okay...

Shouldn't you ask the wife first. I think she owns those technically.

I said what the hell it's now or never. Never have owned or driven a SC vehicle, but have owned four turbocharged cars, so this will be fun to finally experience. I say do whatever it takes to obtain the last of the soon to be extinct TRD supercharger's......

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
It was her idea. Sell an ovary and a testicle. Pay off anything to pay off :) we dont need them anymore anyway (not all 4)

Kidneys are much more important. Could have one of those crap out any time, or someone close to you could need one. :)

I debated buying another one.. for a project.

still think that ill stick with m112 and a 4.0v8 instead for obvious reasons.

Haha yes eggs, not ovary. That was the start of it.

And yeah.. I pretty much messed that up, back to supercharger!

YES, unless you really don't want it.

What do you mean you can't reflash to take them off? Don't TRD Superchargers get sold as used? I've never heard of that.
Yes it is quite slow at high speeds. I'm also automatic which from what I've read is a more reliable transmission which is good for F/I I assume, a 6sp would be much more fun to drive S/C'd. I want to get one soon and take it off when I trade up to a 2012 6sp, but like I asked above can you do that? I'm at pretty high mileage at 115K
Yes I agree that the F150 is a better family vehicle as it can do everything a family needs.
Are you regeared for those 33s or stock geared? The S/C still does add power in closed loop right, i.e. you don't have to mash the pedal to get your money's worth from the S/C?
If you're going to 93 Octane and noticing no difference, maybe it does eat a little more but the constant run of 93 (Not just 1 tank then back to 87) is negating it.

Once the ECU is reflashed for the supercharger you can't go back to stock without an unflashed ECU. You cannot flash the ECU back to the stock tune.

I am not regeared. I'm waiting for the cash to do lockers and 35's at the same time. The Tacoma can handle 33's without a regear IMHO.

The volume of fuel consumed does go up when the S/C is in boost but when it's cruising the bypass opens and very little extra fuel is consumed. Therefore the only time the truck is consuming more gas when not towing is when you are accelerating.

How do people taking off their S/Cs go about getting stock ECUs? Wow, 35s that's a big jump! What do you expect to happen to your speed?

Like the lobster said, you just need a new ECU to roll back to stock.

With 35's and gears I'll be a bit faster off the line and slower up top. That's fine, the only good reason to get 35's has nothing to do with pavement and speed. Most of the people I Offroad with have 35's and 3" lifts, so they are a bit more capable than my truck right off the bat and I need to overcome that gap.

Take a quick read through torspd's build and tell me how simple getting a turbo to be reliable and make good power on our trucks is...

Turbo's are great if you want to put the large amount of time getting the setup right on our trucks takes. Not to mention that under the truck mounted turbo's are no good for the type of offroading I do. Dunking a turbo in 2 c water will break that sucker quick. I'll stick with the simplicity of the roots S/C. There really isn't anything as bullet proof for off the beaten path use or as reliable for street use.

This!! My dealer told me $1000+ for a new ECU.. One of drawbacks about installing the SC. Not real easy to put it back to stock.

Read it already. I'm just saying if there is no option if one can't find a sc why not. I'd love to have either one.
