OK I've looked at all the threads about the right way to get LT. I'm a dad with two kids wife and house. What is an alternative to looking like that but with out hemridging cash. Looking for the prerunner look high front end. I've built a tube bumper and made a plate for it. Working on tires next. Thanks

Whats the point? if going real long travel is only like $1000 more.

You make your truck harder to drive, harder to park, more abuse on your wheel bearings and less mileage with larger tires.

All for a look that honestly will just be for show?

I was going to say maxtrac's butthinling budget they wouldn't be the best. Then I noticed he has a 01. So 3" lift with 2" wheel spacer and fiberglass up front and stock rear with 33's

Thanks for the feed back. It's not all look, I've put my fair share of beatdowns on this truck, mostly winter time and spring mud. At 200k I'm turning it into a "project" daily driver. And with a house to pay for a simple $1000 has many better uses then in the truck. Trying to get the best of both worlds. Most of the stuff I can make at work I was just trying to get a feel for a direction. Thanks again much appreciated

Not saying this is a good idea but you can always cut and extend your lowers and uppers.

Solo Motorsports lift spindle, increases width and provides lift, Icon AAL in the rear, or just lift shackles. Run a uniball UCA, and Bilstein 5100's front and rear. Space out the rear the same as the front though, only need a 1.25 spacer. Then get some mild flared fenders, Glassworks Unlimited makes some smaller flares, around 3" so it won't look goofy with stock suspension.

This is similar to my setup except I'm staying 4wd and not using the lift spindle. There's nothing wrong with this, looks good, functional and won't cost an arm and a leg. It's an improvement over stock components, LT is way more than just $1000 more. If it was I would've done it a long time ago.

I'd say get Bilstein 5100, wheel spacers and fiberglass all up front. Then bigger tires when you can and leave the rear stock.
That should be around ~$500 not including tires and you still can play with your truck. That's probably the best cheapest thing I can think of.
coil spacers, coilover blocks/spacers I wouldn't recommend as a lift.

BTW Check the Classifieds here too. I bought my entire Total Chaos LT kit with everything needed to install including fox 2.5 remote reservoirs for $2,000.
