The wife won't let me get rid of her car she refuses. So I might pull her battery and tell her I don't know how to fix it and make her take the taco:D

Thank you mr bconrey very much. I know he would never expect anything for the sacrifices he makes but it really helps me to be able to hear people appreciate what our military does for all of us :oldglory:

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
It gets more rare every day it seems :/

But the people who care are still out there :)

Mr kpla51, you should tell her to come to TW when you're away. Sometimes when I'm feeling sorry for myself or I feel like He is asking for more than I have it's some of the friendships from TW that help me make it through those days :).

... mother-in-laws and their dogs, husbands, military service, guns (Sig here), knives (Benchmade here), gender stereotypes, shy bladders.

I'm not complaining, this is all very entertaining; but I think I need to start a new thread, the Tacoma World thread. One solitary, all inclusive thread replacing the hundreds (thousands?) of existing threads on this site. Obviously I'll have to title this new thread so that it doesn't relate in any way to specific anticipated content.

The "TW Live" thread is pretty close to this.

My co-worker shoots the doves that roost over his truck. Me, I just don't park under my trees. Live and let live.

HAHAHA, Surprise!!! Hopefully no buyer's remorse at that point.

Mr OCD, I hope as the OP you are okay with the fact that some people, like me, have taken your thread ALL OVER THE PLACE (I'm Sorry!!) I don't mean to, it's part of my OCD! I start talking and I CAN'T SHUT UP .

I wanted to tell you that I certainly noticed and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the words you have in your signature about people in general and especially respect for women. It takes a man to take that position. Thank you :):).

I wish my solution was to avoid parking under a tree.
I get the occasional aerial assault and even sometimes the birds decide to use my truck as a landing pad.

Mr Salty, thank you. See, I'm an idiot. I forgot!!! There is a bird poop rule rule, and a spilled gasoline down the side of the truck rule, and a is it a scratch into the paint rule that must be touched up or wait until detailing rule!

My Marine may not be perfect, and Lord knows I'm not, but he is perfect for me :)! Thank you for helping me remember!

As I said, "... I'm not complaining, this is all very entertaining ..."
How might "mankind" be restated to include women? I guess "humanity" covers it.

    Mr Salty, sorry, I forgot:
    - If a bird poops on the truck I have to rinse it with water and under no circumstances am I to rub it with anything.
    - If it is gasoline I have to make sure the little clear protective thingie under the gas tank filler-upper doesn't get cloudy which means the gas got under the clear thingie.
    - If it I can feel a paint spot with my fingernail and the color is different, I have to take it to the dealer and ask them to touch it up :) so that it doesn't rust.

There is a lot to remember!

    - I also forgot that unless I'm the washing the truck I need to look for anything that is different from when the truck was new while it is filling up for gas and if I don't know what it is I have to go to the dealer and find out:).

And I know I'm going get in trouble for saying this but for you very nice guys who maybe think some of us might spend too much time on hair and nails, figure out how to make it work for you :smack:! You guys are so wonderful and so needed and so smart. Make us part of the team!

This is what makes my husband so special. I'm not a rocket scientist but I'm not a complete idiot (although sometime I have to think about that one). He's figured out what I'm good at and he knows I would do ANYTHING for him. When he is home and goes to Home Depot, he spends more time in the store looking for the stuff he needs than it takes to do the stuff he wants to fix for US. Nobody in the store helps him find anything. I used to be a pain about him being out doing boy things and playing. Now, he looks up what he needs on the internet, prints out a picture and part name of what he needs, sends me to the store, and I'm back in 30 minutes cause I get lots of help. If it's not the right thing I return it. He does what he's good at and I do what I'm good at. I hope I'm not offending any women and sounding like a moron but I like to look pretty, I like attention, I like to talk and I'm not going to change! I'm capable of doing things I might not like to do, I'm capable of getting dirty and sweaty and helping!

I know I'm on "thin ice" and I hope I didn't make anyone angry . If I did I'm really am sorry :).

Yup, this is me, the only male in a household of 6 females. Always being the wrong, stupid, ugly and gross outcast drives me to love my beer (when I'm "allowed" to, that is) and Tacoma so much. It is definitely about compromise. I try to get my girls into any hobby I partake in to make them feel included. Trying to do the same now with off-roading in the Taco. If I can just get her endorsement, oh, the mods that will come...

In case that sounds superficial, let me also say that anyone who can stand on their own two feet, is true to themselves and welcomes judgment unapologetically adds exponentially to their appeal. A great quote by Anne Hathaway: "A man told me that for a woman, I was very opinionated. I said, for a man you're kind of ignorant". That made me smile. Bottom line, if you're happy with who you are, and as long as you're not intentionally hurting others, carry on and to hell with what anyone else thinks. If the person you are dovetails nicely with someone you care for, all the better.

Probably the first obsessive thing we ALL do is take a photo of our truck the day we get it. Right after snapping this picture, I started removing all the superfluous shit. Seems like another common obsession is posting a build thread; I'll start one, like all the rest of you fanatics, as soon as I've completed a few note worthy mods.
