Thanks Susan, it's kind of nice to be home, but I'd rather stay in Maine for a while longer. Very quiet there.

Oh, well, hopefully it won't go on all night. Took them out when I was done in the yard and made them pee.... They're nervous, but not really too bad at the moment. Maybe because there's a short gap between the booms.... It's all around.

    How does your buddy do?

Doesn't bother him much; we've taken him along shooting quite a bit.

I think I need a blood transfusion.... feeling whoozy. The damn mosquitoes are relentless! The horse flies and deer flies were horrible too but they eventually lost interest unlike the mosquitoes. At least I was cool - was in the 40's at night, felt awesome! Did the girls survive the 4th without a major panic attack?

What are we doing with what?

Actually it wasn't too bad with the fireworks. No where near as bad as it has been. They weren't happy, but it has been a lot worse.

I found these "insect repelling super bands" and so far they seem to work. You just put one on your wrist or ankle and they are supposed to work for 200 hours.

I found a used dresser for sale on FB. Same color as the crib. I looked at the one they wanted at Target and the ratings stunk. I was going to get them a new dresser anyway, and this one popped up. Looks to be in real good condition. Pick it up after work tomorrow

There were a ton of flies where we camped. Surprisingly the biting ones never bothered us, but they were still really annoying. It was a bit warmer where we were though got down into the 60's at night, but we were only at 6500 ft. We hiked up about 100 yards in the trees and sat with our chairs. It was much cooler and it usually didn't take us long to find some chipmunks to watch :D

Looks like a nice spot Brady. I had tons of deer wandering through camp, they drove me nuts because theyd wander around in the trees, breaking branches. :annoyed: so much noise! I just made a smoky fire and hung out there to get some relief from the bugs. Wished I had my annex for my tent but I left it at home, didn't think I'd need it. Saw 2 grizzlies Saturday morning too. Shocked as hell to see them.

    A little bit. Haha.
We had a small tree fall over and crash through the other trees just as we were going to bed. Our pines are pretty beetle infested...

So Lisa and Susan, I know I have seen you talk about some baby blankets or something a while back, do you know much about trouble shooting sewing machines? We have rewound several bobbins, triple checked that everything is threaded right several times and have been toying with the thread tension to no avail...

This is the bottom (bobbin) side of the material.
    1d56802a11a8dd02fa0e700435d12f23_a2cd6345fa799e50fbfcedc4a09c7c9a965bdc95.jpg

We keep getting this squiggly stitching although intermittently. This is happening both on the old 1960's machine and the brand spanking new one we bought a few days ago. It will sew great for a while and then it will start doing this and so on...

I'm debating tightening the bobbin screw since it kind of looks like the bobbin thread is all loose, although maybe it is too high and the thread is getting stretched and then it loosens up like that after the machine passes over. We've played with the upper tension dial a bunch. Sometimes it fixes it sometimes it doesn't...
