TRD off road and TRD sport front spring differences??

    Im very curious as to if there is a height (actual spring construction height) and/or ride height difference between the stock TRD off road front springs (progressively wound) and the stock TRD sport spring (llinear wound)

    Not that I am aware of. The main difference you have listed above will give a former ride for the sport, whereas the off road springs are designed to be smoother riding over bumpier terrain off road.

    Alright, cool.. but I actually believe its the other way around... Im pretty sure the off road springs are the ones that are firmer as the progressive winds on the off road tighten slightly towards the top of the spring therefore increasing spring rate and thusly a firmer ride. And I also recall the majority of trd off road owners reporting a firmer ride as well. I have the trd sport linerar springs in my truck now (same as 4x4 sr5 and 4x4 base springs) and the ride is rather smooth

    Progressive spring are designed to offer a lower initial spring rate, and then rapidly increase the spring rate as it is compressed. This gives a smooth ride over irregular surfaces while becoming much stiffer for larger amounts of suspension articulation.

    I did not drive a sport, only an SR5 and Off Road, so I cannot compare. But I believe Toyota states the sport had stiffer spring rates.

    SR5 / sport springs are the same.... TRD OR is the only one to have different springs in the front.

    Wow, thats actually pretty interesting lol, that goes against everything ive been reading the last 3 years lol.

    But yeah, that aside, you're pretty sure that both the stock linear and stock progressive springs on these trucks are the same height off the vehicle completely and uncompressed sitting side by side next to each other?

    Oh, and the sr5 utilizes the same springs as the sport, but not not the same shocks lol

    I read your original post incorrectly, I was thinking mounted height. I'm not sure about unmounted height as I could see the OR spring compressing a little more once mounted due to the progressive design, so the springs could be very slightly taller. Again, not sure.

    What are you trying to accomplish?

    also if i am not mistaken at least the Sport, but i think the SR5 as well have a larger diameter sway bar vs the TRD OR.

    Ah,very good observations about the compressed state. Interesting. And im just trying to figure out all of the differences between both as I recently came into a set of free trd OR springs, but im running trd sport springs now. Most likely will not switch but I wanna expand my knowledge
