Sensors from steelies are not compatible on aluminum wheels

It's not like you really need those stupid things anyways. I hate the tpms

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess I'll be looking for TRD Sport wheels with the TPMS. I didn't know the TPMS on the steelies weren't comparable with the alum wheels. So will 17s fit okay on my Prerunner? Looks like I'll keep looking, maybe I'll just take the caps off and run the Steelies for now.

I just plasti dipped my old steelies, it works well enough till you can get what you really want. I'm not even sure what aftermarket rims look good on our trucks.

Plasti dip is a good idea, never done it but looks pretty straight forward. I have a 99 Ranger that's my "farm truck", maybe I'll practice on her first.

17's will fit just fine. Biggest you can fit is 265/70-17 before rubbing. I have 17" TRD Sport wheels on my truck with that tire size. Truck came with 16" steelies

Are 265/75r16 the largest 16s that will fit stock? I believe that is correct but wanted to ask before winter.

Yup. Three have dunlop tires. One has a dunlop tire with a hole in it. Four center caps. Four installed tpms sensors

    Yuh

Some people cram 255/85r16s but end up trimming.

Thanks again for the information guys. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the tacoma. I'll keep packing away the cash to either buy TRD wheels or a good wheel/tire combo.Again I appreciate the help.
