This above describes Chad (KB Voodoo) to a tee.

Yesterday I set out a PM to Chad about my failed powder coat/rust issues with the fist generation tailgate cap I purchased some time ago, and without hesitation said that he will be sending out a new one to replace it along with a prepaid return label to ship the old unit back.

Even after I offered to pay shipping in both directions because I did understand that it was the powder coat process that failed and not his fault, he insisted that "my money was no good". WOW.

I have spent enough time on this earth to know that many times people just will not stand behind the products they sell or give you the brush off after the sale because it requires effort and work to be performed with no additional profit to make.

It really does restore my faith when I run across situations such as this when people do the right thing when no one is looking. That is why I called Chad a stand-up guy. If/when I need the bed rails or bike carrier I immediately know where I will turn. Nuff said.

    Thanks Chad!

    Hi Chad:

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the side rail cap system but wanted to confirm long vs. short dimensions before ordering from your website.

The 72.5" is the long correct?

I will post some pictures soon of the tailgate cap and the KB Voodoo sticker I received with it. It actually took longer to decide where the sticker goes vs the time it took to install the tailgate cap.

There are only two stickers on my truck and you my friend made the cut, one suggestion though would be to put the website address on the sticker somewhere.

    Finally some photos to add.

The side rails and tailgate cap are well made products the finish is excellent and it feels more substantial than the plastic components that came standard with the truck. Everything went together smoothly with no surprises.

O.K. there was one surprise, after the installation I cracked open a Sculpin beer and leaned against the truck and put my bare arm down on the Black steel side rails that had been in the sun for hours, needless to say the beer hit the ground and I have a very sore Red mark on my arm now. Oh well there are still five more left and I am now the wiser.

^^^^^ The loss of a Sculpin is something to mourn.

    And I love the sticker!!!

Sorry about the arm, but I blame the sun.

Just wanted to shoot out a big thanks Chad. The caps came in yesterday and I do have to say. Getting the plastic off was harder than installing yours. image.jpg

Damn that looks rough, hope my rails don't end up like that. I've got some gouges in mine from screwing around with my Bestop and getting the rear flap bar to work with the lower rails as opposed to OEM but so far no issues with powdercoat that I can find yet.

I'm assuming all wrinkle coated products were from the same powdercoater KB Voodoo?

All the old wrinkle coat stuff was done by the bum who used to do my powder coating.

The new stuff is top notch.

The new power coating is done properly and is very robust, I have had no issues with the replacement. I understand it was a very small number of affected pieces.

Order with confidence as KB Voodoo stands by his work and product.

After my tail gate cap's powder coating failed and was promptly replaced I ordered the matching side rails. This was due to the communication and actions of KB Voodoo (Chad).

I should take that picture down. As others have said, the gap is hardly noticeable.
