05+ Tacoma Tail gate reinforcement group buy

Has anyone thought about putting outdoor carpet or something similar over the tailgate? I'm thinking it would be more comfortable to sit on than either the aluminum or stock plastic, and look decent, too.

 

Which thread should we be looking at for info on the sale? I'm assuming it's only going to be a 1-day sale and I don't want to miss it like the recent group buy!

I found the info in the "Deals & Coupons" section of the forums. He talks about the sale dates there!

 

You have got to be kidding me! I looked on there and the deal ended last night at midnight. Relentless, is there a way to just order it from you and get the discount your offering? I missed the first deal because I was deployed and had no access to the internet, so I waited till there was word about this sale. And, what do you know... missed that one too.

 

These super-secret sales are becoming more and more aggravating. Guess I won't be buying one this time either, had the same issue with the Redline hood struts.

 

Soooo, I FINALLY got around to installing this and came across a slight issue..... for the screws with the larger heads (the 7 at the top), none of the holes are big enough for them to sit flush. Doesn't look like that in anyone else's photos. Was I supposed up get a bolt kit with this?

 

this was post #391, adjusted for the correct part number...the flush screws that you need to buy.

"You're going to need the screws like the bottom one on the tailgate. I bought mine from the stealership. Part # 90166-60003 You'll need 7 of them."

GRRRRR, I missed the special again for the 4th of July. DAMMIT!

 

Holy cow man... Is the shipping always SO much? Ouch, that puts a dent in the wallet.

 

Anyone have any whereabouts on Relentless? I have sent him a couple messages to check on the status of a shipment, but haven't heard back from him.

No, I haven't tried calling him. But if he is off getting married, I don't want to interrupt the guys wedding. Congrats if he is though... I will call the company later this week.

 

Currently on my honeymoon so since I'm the guy answering phone calls I won't be able to return them until a week from now. I'm waiting on about 15 plates to come from powder coat- They've had the pallet of them over 3 weeks... Ridiculous. They would usually take 3-7 days on my parts but before I left they were lagging on me. I've had my welder stopping by, checking in, and bugging them daily for over a week while I was gone for my wedding. I talked to him Monday, there was hope for them to be finished today, so I'll ask him tomorrow if he's gotten any word from the PC shop or if he's even possibly picked them up

 

Hey Eric, congrats! I love my plate, i definitely feel the weight now, but know i can put just about whatever i want on that thing and it wont break!
