Anyone else think they could have closed the gap between the shortbed and cab a little better? The long bed on both the DC and AC looks nice and tight. I wonder if there is a reason for this other than.. woops too late to change it now.

That last one isn't labeled anything but it has color matched bumpers, what package is it?

It's the limited, but it will share the same bed with the sr5, trd, models. Just a different set of taillights. All SB's will have that bed.. and the unusually large bed/cab gap to go with it.

I went to check out some f150's on sunday.....just kicking tires. I checked out this nice lariat, 2.7 liter ecoboost, all leather, etc. 53000 I think msrp, don't quote me on that. Anyway, I don't think you will have to worry. Toyota has pretty tight tolerances and quality. Check out the missed paint on the a pillar. I've never seen anything like it. Especially on a 50000+ vehicle. I didn't take a picture, but I swear to you the hoods on different models hung over ore than others. What the heck.

    20150712_101351.jpg kicked tires.

I believe it, American trucks are all about 1.quantity 2.everything else.

I'm not saying Toyota has poor quality. I'm sure the SB was designed that way for a reason; I'm just not sure what that reason is? One more inch would be perfection. Not an end of the world issue, I just saw it and wondered.. why? I thought all you taco guru's might know.

I think you guys are over analyzing things. I know your all excited for your new 2016s but breathe. Its a truck, they tend to have a bit of a gap between bed and cab. Trust in the Japanese engineers and what has been proven as a reliable platform.

I'm sure it will still work as good as any Tacoma that's came before it, it's just a question of fit and finish. That's ok I need a spot to park my motorcycle anyway.

Sorry, I didn't see what exactly you were saying. Are talking about the gap between the box and cab or the absence of the stamping on the box flowing from the door on the double cab short box. I will say the access and double cab flow nicely. But it stops abruptly on the short box.

I think that F150 probably has a salvage title. But for 53000 it's a steal

I would wait for the production models before I judge stuff like panel gaps.

Looks like body flex is causing the gap.

It was a 2015 with no miles and the paint was missed on both sides.
