My tires are worn and I need a new set before winter. I'm in NJ and when we get snow it is bad (wet sloppy and sometimes ice underneath) I also want to do some light offroading. Will these be a good choice? I am also thinking about the price, a lot of people say that they are great for the price.

Yeah I'm liking hose duratracs, but it's to much money for now. Maybe on the next set when I need them.

For what it is worth I have been buying my tires off the same Tire dealer for years. Since the late seventies.

I have not bought name brand tires in 30 years. Paying the extra $30.00 or $40.00 per tire out the door is not worth it

I get just as good tires most often made in the same plant.

I just buy a tread design I like from his house brand of the year.

I thought about the Duratracs but decided to go with KM2s instead.

It seems like no matter which you choose you will be well off. All the well known brands are making great performing tires right now.

Love mine. Great in snow especially. Awesome offroad and not too bad on the pavement; not loud at all.

I don't do a lot of offroading. I have had good results with Michelin LTX MS2 in PA in the same type weather. Ride nice and last forever.

    improved toyota goodness.
the duratrac's are really good in snow decent in mud and not overly loud on the highway...overall just plain great tires IMO. but id also look at the goodyear wrangler athority a/t from wal-mart... about the same or + performance everywhere and generally 20$ or so cheaper per tire. just a suggestion as ive had both and haven't ben disappointed with either.
