Seeing a lot of noise, but have found this forum to be a great resource. Thought I would do my part.

I ordered a 2016 Tacoma Double Cab, Long Bed, TRD Off Road with "Premium and Technology Package with JBL Audio." Model 7568 FE FP in Sandstorm. Ordered in Denver, Colorado. Refundable deposit was $1,000.

From dealer sales manager: Colors and models are not publicly available (except for leaks, which I used to order), however he said that I had it spot on. He could not give me a final MSRP, but said that they would take $1,000 off MSRP on delivery mid- to late-September 2015. He said all current Tacoma colors would be available except for Pyrite Mica, which will be replaced by Sandstorm.

Will share final sale price and documentation as soon as I get it.

Would be interesting to see others who are ordering early, their experience, and prices offered.

I am in the same process, but trying to decide between trd longbed off road or sport, also with the jbl upgrade.

I am wondering if the seats will be similar to the sport, which I like. Also wondering if fender flares and bumper will be color matched on the off road. If so......the locker is very tempting

I didn't ask about flares. Rear bumper will be; it is a requirement for sonar sensors to enable cross traffic and blind spot monitoring.

I hope to be in the position one day to just pre-order a truck without having a clue what it will actually cost me haha. I am looking forward to seeing one in person very soon. Once they hit the showroom floor I will either be buying a 2016 or going with a 2015. Need to upgrade to a DC with a kid on the way.

I won't be ordering early but have the same truck as you in mind (minus JBL). Was getting some work done on my wife's 4runner today and the manager told me they should start getting them late September. He set me up for a test drive when the first one arrives but I'll hold off on buying until some reviews get out and see if any early issues showup. Enjoy the truck after the loooonnnngggg wait. :D

I preordered a trd sport. $500 down with $1000 knocked off of the price if I ordered in July. Full refund on my deposit if I decide not to buy it.

I haven't ordered anything. Just sharing with OP that he ordered the same as I'm looking to get. I intend to pay cash if all goes well.

Wish they would ditch the barcelona red and bring back radiant red. Or at least have them both as an option like the tundra.

That's inferno. Same color they have as an option on the current gen TRD Pro. Granted it's close to radiant red but not it.

Congrats to the OP!! Did your dealer disclose what's included in the "premium and technology package"? JBL audio obviously, and what else?

That post someone had a few weeks ago with the scanned pricing sheet said it had Auto A/C, heated front seats, blind spot monitor, auto head lamp, and moonroof on double cab.

Why would they give $1,000 of MSRP when they could easily sell it for full price?
