I picked up a set of Daystar cradles from AutoAnything for 20% off - around $63 and change. They frequently run specials so it's worth checking around when you're ready to buy.

Well ordered my airbags and cradles. Looking to work on my rear this weekend. Removing factory overload and installing wheelers Progressive AAL + the airbags & cradles.

So I'm not really trying to hijack this thread but do have a question about these bags. I came within a gnats eyelash of ordering them with a compressor. I thought about how often I would really need them and that's like 3 times a year. I then backed off and never ordered them.

Can you inflate them successfully with a small bicycle pump like the kind you would carry on your bike frame for emergencies? I understand it would take some time but in a pinch could you do it? Has anyone used one before?

Best I've ever owned and the end screws on to your value and you don't have to clip it on!

Since Im removing my factory overload spring, and looking at getting a cap I figured I would just get them anyway to use with my AAL. Figure Ill just keep my foot pump in my truck, and you usually know when you are going to be carrying something heavy so I can just fill them at home.

Factory Overload removed. Wheelers 3 leaf progressive installed. Bags inflated with 11psi feels "full size", going to try with 8 tomorrow. 13psi held the 500lb mower fine.

I'm looking to do the exact same setup in the rear. Do you know how much lift you got with the factory overload out and the wheelers progressive 3 leaf? Without factoring in any lift from the air bags.

Basically I'm looking to go that route in the rear and 5100s + 885s in the front which I've read should net around 2.5" lift up front but not sure about the rear.

I measures from the ground to the center of the wheel and to the top of the wheel well and got 38". With the airbags with 11psi I got 39". My front end sits at 37"

The factory overload looks like its about as thick as 2 springs of the wheelers, and the 3rd is about 1/4"

The ride is much better. The AAL was for the base lift and the airbags were to counter for the lost strength from the overload. Im liking it so far.

Cool thanks! I'll be doing the same and have already ordered the airbags on that sale that recently hit. Looks to me to be a good way to go for a lift, smooth ride and still haul / tow capable.

The air bags with 12psi put my Pro back to about level (maybe an inch higher in the rear at the bumper) with a Snug Top XTR shell installed. Level at all 4 wheel well openings which equates to the slight rise in the rear.

Looks nice Charles!!! Another quick question for ya, how do you like those KO2's? I got a 2013 Access cab 4 cylinder with 245 75 16's on it now and i think my next set is going to be the KO2's in a 265 75 16 but wondering if its really worth it to up the size cause of all the extra weight of that tire, especially with a 4 cylinder.
