so I bought a snug top camper shell from Craigslist yesterday but the lock didn't have a key. Where can I get one easily made?

Any locksmith could probably make you a key, or re-key the shell to a new key.

I'd just drive to a locksmith and ask them, they may be able to do it on the truck, or if it needs to be removed they could prolly do it quicker than you or I.

Wow that lock /key is only $40. The one on eBay is like $12 but Iam. It sure the one one eBay will fit a snug top

I will go later today to see how to remove the lock. Some one said just go to a snug top dealer and the can make a key from the serial number. Anyone knows if this is true

Thats true. From what I hear there are only a handful of key cuts for the snugtop locks. So a dealer can check the key code and they will most likely have the pre cut key in stock.

I believe the key code is actually on the outside right on the silver lock cylinder, which is retarded...

The key code is on both my lock and key, (ST bought 2013), so you shouldn't have a problem getting a new key at a dealer.
