Hey everyone, some of you may be familiar with some of the products I offer for the 2nd gen Tacoma's. My most popular item is the hood scoop LED light bar kits for the 05-15 Tacoma's. I also build plate bumpers for the 05-11 Tacoma. I don't have any other production products for the Tacoma's yet, but I do build a lot of custom stuff for customers and myself.

I wanted to post up some pics of my latest projects on my White 07 DCLB. This truck will not be used for any extensive off-roading, but mostly for road trips and camping. So please give criticism accordingly!

Basically my goal is to have a nice clean rig that is very comfortable and has a lot of storage and functionality for road trips and camping, while also being able to easily use it as a daily driver.

All the custom fab work has been done by me.

    The basic specs right now:

    07 DCLB TRD sport
    120,000 miles
    4.0 v6, 4x4, auto
Black/grey leather interior with heated seats
Pioneeer head unit with aux and 10" sub behind driver side rear seat

2" spacer lift up front with Bilstein shocks
AAL in the rear with Bilstein shocks and AirLift bags to help with the extra weight of bedrack and camping gear.
17x8.5 Fuel "Anza" wheels in Anthracite with matte black ring. 4.5" backspace, -6.3mm offset
    285-70-17 BFG All-terrains

Custom front tube bumper with 3 Pro-Comp 7" HID's up top and AVEC optic series 20" lightbar behind the bumper skidplate. will also be adding AVEC 3x3 optic work lights with amber lenses along with the fog light anytime mod that I just finished.

Custom bedrack with swing out tire and fuel can holder.
CVT Mt. Adams rooftop tent with annex

Hood scoop LED lightbar mod with Rigid 10" SR spot/flood combo.

Here are some pics of the recent fab work.DSCN1572.jpg DSCN1573.jpg DSCN1574.jpg DSCN1575.jpg DSCN1576.jpg

As of right now my future plans are a low pro roof rack that will sit about the same height as the top of the tent when its folded up. I may incorporate a 50" radius light bar on the front of the rack, depending on if I can make it look sleek enough for my liking. Also I will eventually be doing a rear bumper with some LED reverse lights. The windows are tinted so dark I cant see anything while backing up at night!

Thanks! it works really well there. It doesn't wiggle at all because of how the load is spread out between the span of the two attachment points instead of a single point. Plus it looks different than what you typically see!

My setup has a similar concept, its a bit of both a swing out and swing up.

Well guys, tomorrow we are off on a 10 day trip with the Tacoma and the rooftop tent! We are leaving the Rapid City area and headed to the Big Horn mountains in WY first. We will be camping in the East Ten Sleep area for a few days and then driving through Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Idaho Falls, Salt Lake and eventually end up in Moab for a couple days. Then its back through Colorado over the Rockies and back home!

Lots of beautiful pics to come! We are excited to get some good use out of the RTT.

Would it be possible for that tire swing out to be a kit that could be added to an existing bed rack?
I also really like that action packer shelf. Does the possibility exist for the shelf to be produced that could be mounted to bars across the bed or something.

Really awesome and innovative, havent seen anything like it! Ideas I would like to utilize

    Thanks for the kind comments!
It is possible to offer the swing out as a kit, but I would be concerned that the existing bedrack that a customer has, may not have the same angle of bend on the main bedrack tubes as my setup. therefore it would be hard to get the swing out to mount level. Also there is quite a bit of plate gussets and support structure on the rear corners of the bedrack that would be hard to make as a generalized kit.

As for the action packer mount, that is something I would like to start offering. Although since this is the first one I have built, I am already seeing things that I would change on the next one. I will report back after this 10 day trip with some feedback on the entire setup. I really havnt gotten to spend much time using it at all.

First off Caleb, top notch like usual. Second, once you get back from your trip give me a shout. Curious on a price of the bed rack with that swing out. Been looking at the "other guys" bed rack, but would love to keep it all local if i can.

Also, your Vanagon guy came into work (at VW) and saw your work on his rear bumper and light mount. Looked sick.
