    No that's not possible. A shim stack is made in changes of .001 and other very small increments. Only things like too much oil in the shock, the IFP depth, low or no nitrogen charge or an internal spacer would affect how much the piston is sticking out of the shock body.

    But that's not the problem. The problem is what Jake pointed out. The shock body is clearly longer.

    I have no clue. But you can find out real quick with a tape measure .......

    Measure from the top of the shock bucket to the center of the hole on the bottom mount. Then measure from the bumpstop to the strike pad. Deduct that measurement from your first measurement and deduct another 1/2" for the stock bumpstop to compress a lil bit. That's the smallest compressed length shock you can run. Compared that measurement to the pic you posted of the tape measure next to the shock body
