The Calfire site says the VLAT has been requested. Which simply stands for "Very Large Air Tanker" (DC10) lol

Such a cock tease... Came home to find the UPS guy leaving my patio. Started to think maybe my relentless skids are here, but the wife orders stuff all the time. See a giant package seemingly perfect for two skids and starting jumping up and down for joy. Turns out to be a wagon she ordered for the little dude :annoyed:

    Soon...

I haven't been out that way for weeks. Here's the view from Santa Rosa today. I haven't noticed this either.

I noticed it blew towards your way this time. Last time I blew the smoke to Sacramento.

    My buddy sent me this

There's currently 7 fires within town right now. We are having contra costa come in and help because all our units are dispatched.

I don't let any of it get to me, not worth the energy. ;) I just do a lot of head shaking when I read a lot of the posts on TW. I'm kinda like jberry, I'd say wtf? a whole lot less without this forum. I'm always happy to help anyone, but if I don't agree with you I'll say so. Around here that kinda thing makes you a dick if you don't agree with the collective.

    7?!

We've had 5 in Santa Rosa in 2 weeks that I've driven through or driven past smoldering grass after the fire was put out.

Wish I was more capable. I would really be interested in firefighting and wildland firefighting.

    Kalieaire, keep looking buster...

My navpod is staying in the box its been sitting in for 5 or so years.

I do have a push button start system that I helped develop many moons ago. I have a new kit still and also a TRD start button to go along with it.

Just sold my ARC Ti cooling plate and RexyPow console. I have a few sets of side skirts and two front lips. I am still looking to find some mud flaps.

0h, and the PPE Header/race cat downpipes combo will be off and for sale soon as well. I don't need all that noise anymore and the TTE can does a fine job of giving it a little burble.

    www.mr2spyder.net much?

    What year ya got :D

Nothing yet. I just started working again after two years, I'll probably be ready to buy by spring. I still have to lift the Taco, get a flippac, and do some mods to fit 35s.

But afterwards, it'll be for a canyon runner, planning to do the mwr 2zz swap after the first engine dies (if ever). I do 700 mile single day road trips, the MRS seems like a good fit.

So, you have a Spyder now? 0r are planning on getting one as they are exceptionally adept at 700 mile jaunts up and down the coast? :D

The 2ZZ is a great engine no doubt, but, I must say my little trusty 1ZZ has done well with the abuse I have put it through. Many CA36 trips done at a permagrin clip!

If you are a local Spyder owner, we may have met before at some local event. However, I will admit to being quite a bit less interested in the parking lot, tire kicking bs sessions.

I used to own a local repair shop and was getting a good amount of MR2 business but I just couldn't afford it in the end. I still have all my tools and still have a few locals who insist I do the wrenching on their cars.

I have a taco and an xB.

I'm really not into the import scene because it gets old fast w/ jackasses. If it's a few friends, that's fine because we have stuff to talk about, but otherwise I'd rather run through the full length of 25, 35, or 1.

When I do get the MRS, the plans are going to be really just handling/usability upgrades like ohlins, nav console, hard top, seats, wheels + tires, I'd probably consider putting in 14s if I could fit them over the brakes so I can get some thicker tires when I encounter less adequate pavement (ie dirt roads).

I really want to get my hands on a nav console though, i'd like to make a mold and make copies.
