Green clips attache to the truck. Just clip in. I don't remember seeing the white pieces. I just swapped mine out with the LED DRLs.

I have to be missing something behind where this piece sits because it easily comes right out after putting the grill on (headlights are already on when I'm attempting this.)

This just hit me, should I be putting in these fillers last (after the grill)?

The can go in before or after. They are usually easy to remove if the grill is out. Google the video on installing LED DRLs and there is a part showing the removal of those pieces. There is a black piece on the other end that helps hold them in, as well.

I have a 2009 and converted to the 2012 front end - I didn't order those clips (overlooked them in the threads I read on here)

The fun part will be removing my bumper to put those things on :)

You shouldn't have to remove the bumper. They clip into the small panel piece then help to secure it to the bumper.

Any luck finding the green clip? I need one too. I’m being told by the people at Toyota I need to buy the whole filler piece.

I went to toyota as well and they wanted $56 for a new filler piece with clip. They won't sell just the clip because they seemingly don't have a part number for it. I've purchased many similar clips online and none of them fit. I ended up buying another set of filler pieces on ebay for $18 just so I can get another clip and have a spare.
