Yeah the directions were outlined earlier, but it's pretty easy to find... I'd say it takes about 45 minutes to the slabs from the sky park exit off 50. I'll roll up with ya anytime, barely takes me an hour to my driveway.

Yeah, should have relocated your trailer plug into the bumper. I did that years ago to avoid breaking it off getting into my driveway over...thru...the snow berm.

And if you head up this way in the next day, be sure to check the roads. 50 closed in Pollock at Sly Park Rd due to fire in Kyburz.

Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like my 07's plug wasn't nearly that exposed, did toyota change the plug location?

Just reading about the fire, here we go again...my pops was county fire for years, feels like we've done this not too long ago :(

Plug location didn't change. Everyone was breaking them in the beginning. Takes just drilling one hole in the bumper and removing the driver's side license light.

Smoky up here last night and today.

I walked out on my porch about 430 this morning, smelled like the king fire again :(

Drove my 07 around for years, never managed to rip the stupid thing off! Guess I'll be in the market for a new plug and housing soon

    ...too much shit to list.
Yeah. It's all pretty simple wheeling out that way. Stock truck could do it. But there's some cool scenery. Rinsue Canyon trail, Sand Canyon to Nye Canyon trail and Scotts canyon trail are all right in that area. Ludwig Ghost Town trail starts right there in the town of Smith too. Easy trail to the ghost town with lots of remains still there. Also there's a huge network of trails in that area to old mines if exploring is your preference.
