Water is warming up here in NE KS a lot faster than normal. I think we will see a early to mid April bedding, where usually we see late April to early May.

If I had a dollar for every time I've gotten that!

I was out today and got a 4 and 3lb smallmouth, I saw a bed in about 7ft too. Seems a little early but our weather has been exceptionally warm for 2 yrs in a row now.

^ Nice, I've never gotten a green on a fly before!

I bet you feel all of their torque on a fly rod

These are my biggest this year. The top was 6.6 caught at EPCOT, and the bottom was 4.8 at Butler Chain.

This is an appropriate image for this thread and those of us who compete at the tournament level

I wouldn't call it a "sport" but at least it gets you outside...more like a "competition"

    noun: sport; plural noun: sports
    1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
I think it's a valid competition, but I question the physical exertion part - looking at the picture above...

I do love to fish and I do it out of a kayak...getting there is half the fun ;)

Go fish a college tournament or any trail that has 2 day tournaments standing up getting beat up by waves and the sun then lemme know how much physical exertion you had haha.

Not saying it's easy, but who doesn't know those jacked bass fishermen? If "getting beat up by waves and the sun" is physical exertion for you great, but I'm on another level.
