Here's my new knife: Emerson UBR (Uber) Commander, serial #123.

Of course, I was so excited to open the damn package and whip out this bad-boy, I nicked my damn thumb in the process. Damn, this is a well-made beast, and smooth as silk.

I've been hunting for one for awhile, and I found only one at Matt D's Tactical out of Alexandria, VA. I bought the only one he had and had it to me in a little over a day from time of purchase. Great guy BTW.

You just have to search and get lucky like I did. They are considerably bigger than the Super Commander and EKI only made a few. I don't think Emerson has a current production run but he may soon. They are not cheap, that's for sure, but probably the best hard-use folder I've ever held or owned.

I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get it issued I paid around $180 for mine. But I absolutely love the Tanto Blade and just how sturdy it is. Hands down the best knife ive owned.

Only have two at the moment. I carried the blue (cheap mall knife) for a while to mainly use opening boxes and such. Seems to work for cans as well and not really mess the blade up a whole lot. Kind of surprised it took the beating that well. Still can cut other things.

The Spyderco my wife recently got me for my birthday/anniversary gift. We agreed not to get me anything but she got this anyway. I carry it daily now. It's pretty light and sharp. I won't be opening cans with this one.

Still gets the job done though. Aim for the front of the neck. I'm sure they'll stop to try and watch their breath.
