I got the AVEC LED headlights because another member recommended them, they FUCKING sucked! Luckily one burned out in a week so I fought and returned them for a refund.

Everything I got from Avec is still in perfect working order, no leaking, no discoloration, nothing. Looks like they did the day I installed them. I have a 30" combo bar and a pair of 6 LED pods. I'm not a huge fan of the combo bar but that's preference, I just want distance so I'm getting something different but I haven't had any complaints with their products. I won't buy any more since their customer service has gone down the tubes since Mike left but no issues with the stuff I already bought.

I would rather spend the money on heretic studios, rigid industries or Baja designs over anymore Chinese lights.

Yeah, my next set will be something different. Still undecided on which brand, I want the Rigid optics in the Baja Designs housing.

I've had 30" bar for a while but didn't install it until last October or November. The pods I bought before that, last summer some time I believe. We got absolutely blasted this past winter and the truck has been through the high pressure touchless wash quite a few times now also. So far, everything looks good. I took the pods apart when I first got them to install Lamin-X film on the lens but that's the only thing I've done with any of the lights.

I like how everyone had nothing but good things to say about the AVEC lights until Mike disappeared and the customer service went downhill and now suddenly they are considered poor quality China lights. The product probably hasn't changed in the last 3 months people...

Please don't come at me with messages about how they will never compare to Rigid or other American made bars, I'm not saying anything about that comparison. I just find it very fascinating how the perception of the product has changed just because of customer service related issues and how now the AVEC bars are considered Chinese trash by many people.

I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't buy Avec's again because of the dive in customer service but I like the products I bought. Generally, the biggest issue with Chinese lights is the lack of support if you do have an issue. Mike, I felt, closed that issue being active and easy to reach. Now that he's gone, that's a huge hit in my opinion.

For me as a by stander in this, I felt the way he handled the mud flaps sale issue and his lights concerns turned me away.

I have bought lights off Jasper offroad and Blitzpro.. both of which are no longer around and they all sucked!!!!

The Rigid dualys I got on a group by with chaz are fine and honestly for the price and light output put these bars to shame.

If you must buy cheap light bars do it on Amazon or ebay and get a warranty.

But hey carry on as im sure the main reason this tread is no longer active by its creator is for more than personal reasons.

Sell garbage at a high mark up and people will notice.. you can only polish a turd for so long.

I think the issue is customer service. I wouldn't mind if I could easily get a replacement or repair but they are making a big deal out of it. I had issues from day 1 and mike took care of them but now with him gone they are showing me that they don't stand behind the product. It is what it is. I have 1 light bar looks and works great and 1 that is shit. Just throwing my issues out there. Take it for what it's worth.

look I used to think Avec was a decent company with an okay product. When my pod went half way out I was like okay I'll message Mike.... 2 months later nothing so he is never coming back. I still buy stuff from chas since he is on Facebook and he gave me a good deal on some rigid fog light mounts and fog light mounts. I also got a hat! :D

I was just answering your question about what those guys were talking about. I have no first hand experience with avec lights. I do however have two sets of avec pods but I've yet to install them.

Yea i have a 50" radius, 2 30" combo bars and a couple pods i have yet to install. Hearing some of the complaints im going to seal them up and use them and then change out for Rigid or competitor when i have the cash. They looked to be pretty good quality to some of the shitty chinese knock offs ive had before and they are totally Rigid knock offs since the Rigid covers fit perfectly.

Oh I still have it, everything works, nothing bad, but if and when I have to replace them, I'm going to use Baja Designs. This thread was great when it was hot.
