Your shifter reminds me of the antenna ball I made. Carved it out of a Jack In The Box Xmas antenna ball...

Ha! Mines my copilot too! Also I think he's possessed. True story: out at Gorman, was hauling ass down a back trail and hit a whoop way faster than I should have. Tried to slow down but didn't have space because my buddy was following close behind and going just as fast. Hit the jump and ended up sideswiping a shrub that took out my passenger side mirror and bent my antenna. After I was able to stop and check for damage, everything was more or less ok, but the antenna ball was missing. I was a little bummed, and knew I'd never find it so we carried on. 20 minutes later after another bump that shook my cab I see the antenna ball sitting on my passenger seat looking forward like it has been there the whole time. Swear I didn't see it before, but there it was... navigating. So I put the little dude back up and he's still there!

Hahaha dude it's huge! The spot I mounted it was the only place it made sense to mount cuz it couldn't fit anywhere else. But yeah I tuned it tonight at my buddy's house and tested it and it works great so I'm stoked. Doesn't really matter how it looks as long as you can communicate while you're out there, then you're golden!

That totally works. Are you gonna get a remote face? If not how do you plan on changing the channels and stuff if you needed to?

Sick! The remote face is the way to go if you're hiding your cb unit. Cool man.

Got to tune the CB last night at my buddy's house. Used the SWR meter between the cb unit and coax cable of the antenna, and the SWR read 1.5 on channels 1,20, and 40. Then I realized that the CB unit had a built in SWR meter. So we tested it out on there and it was reading .5 on channels 1,20,and 40 which was even better. Then we tested transmitting and receiving between our trucks and I gotta say this CB is dope. Everything worked great!!

I took the fenders off and flipped them over and just drilled a hole right through the middle of where the plastic clips clip on. I didn't measure for any of them, just centered it and it all worked out fine.
