I would suggest getting it installed by the dealer since you have a 2015, it will get covered by your truck warranty. Just make sure to shop around different dealers for the best install price. They can vary a lot. Average install coast is around $800 - $1500.

I hate to say this but, if I can't find a supercharger and fit kit the tacoma is going by by. Big reason why I got a tacoma was the option to do a supercharger.

If you plan on keeping your truck, and the $4800 doesn't put you in a bind financially, yes, do it. As long as you have no plans to get rid of the Tacoma in the next 3 years I say do it. Dont expect it to increase the value of your truck by $5000, but it will increase it some and almost always makes it more desirable when you do sell. People love a super charged Tacoma. Its a fun mod, and if you have no experience with Forced Induction this is a great place to start. $4800 is fair in the realm of TRD Blowers, especially today. Its a lot of money to pay for 5 pounds of Boost and 50 rwhp, but its fair (In the Tacoma Market anyway) and not uncommon. I say do it and dont look back.

If you have to have it to the point you will ditch your brand new truck, then buy a supercharged Tacoma, swap the parts, resell the now non-supercharged Tacoma. It would be cheaper than buying the kit for $15k on ebay. Still ludacris.

Sorry about the bold, it wasn't on purpose. I was typing this from my phone at 2am and must have hit the font by mistake. Sorry if my post came off rude or like a know it all, that was not my intention. My dog was barking at 2am and woke me up, I went outside to see what his problem was, when I came back inside I picked up my phone and responded to this post half asleep. Im lucky my paragraph was legible....

I know it's a stupid reason to sell. But I use my tacoma to tow my Evo for autocross's. I picked the tacoma with the idea of supercharging at the end up the summer. I don't really like the size of the ford f150. The tacoma was the perfect size for the wife and I. I'm not looking for gobs of power. Just wanted that little extra for towing. I may have to look that the chevy colorado with the 2.8 diesel. Not really a huge fan of that motor and its the same motor that was in my liberty crd. But the truck is close to the same size as the tacoma. f150 is just to big.

Im sure you can find one someday. Also, with the end of TRD SC, i guarantee someone else will step up with performance stuff.

To have fun... My truck will turn to sort of overland kinda truck, I'm running 33 and feels like it's lacking power.. I go up to mountain at least 3-4 a year to camp, mountain bike, and my truck sound like struggling. Investing S/C to me is worth it.

The 4g63t motor stopped production in 2006 and company's are still designing new performance parts for it all the time. Still lots of opportunity
to make Money of designing parts.

Yup, IDGAF what people say, it may be a brick, but its my brick, and I'm gonna keep dumping money into it because I want to. Someday I'll work up the nerve to get a UCON and build ECU plugs for it and then I'll be even happier. Then I can add a 7th injector and an even smaller pulley, and have this thing tuned just perfect. There's no reason why I couldn't see close to 400 RWHP with this SC with say a 2.5 pulley and supporting mods and tune.
