Is there any general idea of how much a cap (200-300lb) would lower the rear end? If I get the Dakars, it would most likely be with the 3rd leaf removed.

My 200lb cap alone doesn't drop my ride height at all , it's not till I add an additional 200lbs of tools that it comes down about 1/2" from unloaded

so negligible. Probably even so with the 3rd leaf removed. Thanks.

Think i f'd up driver side put the bolt in wrong direction on shackle

Edit: sitting at just a (insert preferred word here) hair under 24" maybe 1/4" dr lower than pr. Sawzall cured my shackle bolt being in wrong.

Im about to install my Dakars, and thinking about adding 3 degree shims. I have a vibe at 25 when braking/slowing down now with my Wheelers Progressive AAL kit and 3/4" blocks. Hope the Shims work, I have the Carrier bearing drop in now and that got rid of the take off shudder.

Anyways... wondering how many others have put shims in with there Dakars to cure vibes? Or who else has that 25 mph vibe when slowing down?

Need some advise from those that have the Dakars.
So Im installing them this Morning and when I got it on the ground and about to torque everything, I notice a huge lean!
1" lean pas. to drivers side!! WTF

So now Im in the process of swapping them and see what I get. But my Dakars have a + on both of them. so what gives?? I do have a full tank, but it should not be that much lean. that's retarded.
Im thinking someone put a + on one that should be -

    They can be 0,0 , - , - or +,+ or any combination of the 2

If you get a mismatched pair , put the higher spec one on the driver's side

You can also add a rear trim packer

What if I take out the passenger side top overload?
How much will it drop it?

I looked at your build, since you don't have coilovers, you could also install a larger coil spacer on the driver side.

The thickness of the overload or about 1/2"

As above I would do a lean spacer up front before I started changing the rear

Thanks for the help guys.. I have the Front trim packer spacer for the drivers side. and im running 1/4" top plate spacers.
there is about a 1/2" lean up front. But if I run a larger front spacer to make the front level. That wont change the rear. and the rear is way worse...
But maybe after it settles a bit it will be not as bad??

I do have the 1/2" front top plate spacers, so maybe I will try that on the front... but I don't want to loose my front to back rake.
    this sucks, stupid taco lean!!
Ive had 4 Taco's and non have been this bad. even with factory leaf packs it was only 1/2" not a freakin 1"!
