Hey everybody, I got a 3 inch lift on my Tacoma now, I wanna get some more out of it. I was looking at the basic BDS lift, the one with the ugly spacer and I was wondering if I have my 5100s in there already because of the lift I have now, would I need to even run the spacer? Or would I get to throw that in the garbage where it belongs? Thanks for the input and If anyone has pros and cons on the BDS that they have go ahead and share. Thanks guys, it's my second post on here hope to get to know you guys better

Would my 5100s work without the coil spacer?

I'm pretty sure your gonna need to run the spacer. 5100 just compress the springs to get the lift.

You can run the adjustable 5100's with the stock coilovers with that kit but you will still need to run the top hat spacer. What I would recommend if wanting to run the bilsteins is run the F4-BE5-E122-T0. Basically it is a longer non adjustable 5100 shock for up front that is used with the rcd kit. I ran this on my truck and so did radtaco914. This eliminates the need to run the top hat spacer that comes with the basic kit.

The lift itself isn't bad to install at all. Yes but then you would be getting additional lift from the coils. The coils aren't going to give you the height necessary to avoid running the spacer. Remember on a db kit it lowers your crossmembers and that is what the top hat spacer does is makes up that difference on the factory length shock. If you run the longer bilsteins like I recommended you can avoid the top hat spacer.

On the ebiach's you are running are they the 1.5 or 2.5 ones?
