I like the scoop but the gas door looks out of place ... as if it has been replaced ... just my two cents ...

Door handles will be a pain... its a rough surface to keep paint without a protection of clear or a sealant..unless you don't touch it ever

The plan was to keep a red stripe on the handle and only the face of it (not the entire handle) will be painted black and have at least 3 clear coats.

never thought of trading out for black ones though... hmmm

The hood scoop looks great.

Instead on doing the door handles themselves... how about doing the indentation in the door behind the handles? That would be kind of unique and keep your girlfriend's/wife's nails from scratching the paint in that area. ;)

Hey everyone, just bought a '15 Taco this past weekend and have been adding a few DIY mods here and there. Any suggestions about a frugal front grille mod? I'm a big fan of Pistol Pete's and Lusetaco's but don't really know the best way to move forward for a reasonable price

Do some research on Satoshi grills. Not too hard and of you can find the mesh for a reasonable price it is fairly inexpensive.

You can get an insert pretty cheap here and DIY. You can get letters from BAMF. Or go with homertaco's pressed insert found here for your '15.

What year is your Taco? Where can I get a tow hook like that?

Just call a dealer and tell them you need a tow hook from a TRD Off Road model,
Don't forget you'll need two new bolts also. I forgot how much mine was.
    Worth it for me.

Here are the pics of original and then TRD OR on mine.
Bolts are rusted from being on my 2012, 2013 and now 2015 Tacomas...

Yup, mine is a '15. And it was attached to the truck when I bought it.
