dealer sounds like an idiot, that's almost double the size of the current tank.

Tundra needs it, especially with their less than stellar fuel economy. That's even bigger than F150's 36 gallon tank. Now if Tundra would just address the lack of a 6.5' box on the CrewMax.

A similar optioned tundra was $1k more than my Tacoma in the fall (left over 2014, my taco was a 2015). Almost bought it but the consistent terrible gas mpg reviews steered me away, and it was red. Awesome truck though.

I think the Tundra is a solid truck from my test drives back in Feb. But I couldn't get past the tiny tank, the stubby 5.5' box on the huge CrewMax and the most I could get the lie-o-meter to register was 15 something on a mostly highway drive.

    Usafwx, you ride?

    I agree!

The CrewMax is great...especially that roll down rear window. The Double cab is big enough inside for me, but I don't like the looks as much.

But, a 5.5' box is a dealbreaker. I'd want one at least as long as my Tacoma.

Sorry to hear about your injuries. Sounds nasty! Hope you're feeling alright though.

I ride but not race. Started riding at Ocotillo Wells in 2003. Haven't been riding much for the last few years and now living here in AZ you have to be strategic about riding, and I still haven't ridden here. Hoping this fall will help change things. I've mostly been riding KTM 300's but right now the only bike I have is a 2009 YZ250F that I bought new and I swear I bet I have only 20 hours on it. Looks new.

I saw the blue bike pic in your avatar, so I thought I'd ask.

No worries, landed funny off a double double, but all good now. Yep dedicated Yamaha guy, had a YZ125 for my first bike in AZ (trail riding) loved it! Then a 2004 YZ250F, 2012, 2014 and now my 2015. Its my hobby/gf lol.

Not surprising that a dealer doesn't know the difference between a Tundra and a Tacoma. They usually know less about the vehicles that they sell than the average person on the street.
