I heard the 2017 Taco is going to have 345 HP, 320 torques, and 42 MPG's.

I was hoping this was legit and a concession from Toyota that the 2016 front-end has been overwhelmingly greeted as fugly. But no, just a bullshit link. Lock this one up, admin!

That picture is a rendering from an artist with a Fortuner front and Hilux back.. There's no way they would design what they did for 16 and hop right to that sissy mobile in 17.. Thats a fart article, a blip from the cheeks nothing more.

The spelling of the URL itself is a huge giveaway that it's bogus.

No doubt, I like this front end better than the 2016 Taco

Well, one thing for sure, rear disc brakes for 2017... So, will wait for fist year time consuming bugs to be worked out.
A 2017 facelift would be welcomed, as anything should be an improvement..IMHO...

The fortuner is basically the 4Runners twin.... Now if only Toyota would just engineer the Tacoma and hilux on the same frame and drivetrains.

You would think it's a twin but not really. Fortuner gets 3 different engine choices, 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre turbo-diesel units(330 lb·ft of torque at 1400-2600 rpm). Both these engines feature “Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion (ESTEC)” technology and get variable-geometric turbochargers and a 2.7-litre gas engine.
    • Dual LED headlamps with LED DRLs
    • LED taillamps
    • 18" alloy wheels
    • Electric tailgate
    • Cruise control
    • 8 way electric adjustable driver’s seat
    • Push button start
    • Smart key
    • Dual front airbags, side and curtain with driver knee airbag
    • Hill Start Assist
    • Downhill Assist
    • TSC (Tractor Sway Control)

Looks like global 4runner and Hilux. Not my style. I like the American version. Toyota is to conservative to to a 1 year face lift. Especially in the mid size market
