    Just a bit of an update for you guys.

    Turns out the hook went in just next to the cornea and actually then continued on and exited out the back of his eye. The surgeon was able to suture the front portion but couldn't get to the back. We'll be headed to a retinal specialist tomorrow to see what the next move is.

    Current outlook on vision is pretty much 50/50.. :/

    :woot: Good news for my brother. After the second surgery things are looking much, much better.

    The hook went in through the iris but because of its curvature it missed the retina entirely and exited more to the side than the doctors originally thought which means vision is okay.

    Unfortunately the lens is already showing signs of clouding which means it will most likely need to be replaced in the near future. Good thing is thats a very straightforward procedure and done all the time(cataract surgery).

    He was landing a big silver and as he pulled it up onto the bank he knelt down and right then the hook popped out of the fishes mouth. So from like three feet away he had no time to react.
