I am in a real bind. I need to get this truck running tomorrow.
    2007 Tacoma 4WD V6 Auto
Short story got in deep water, like 4 feet. After doing the following this is where I am at:
    Drained all fluids
    Removed fuel tank cleaned dried
Removed fuel pump assembly cleaned dried
    Blew out fuel lines
    Replaced ECM
    Removed and cleaned fuel injectors.
    Replaced spark plugs
    Confirmed fuel at injectors

Crank engine fires once or twice won't stay running
    No fault codes
Tested injectors using makeshift noid light. Bulb flashes once or twice which coincides with engine firing and that it. Keep cranking engine bulb does not flash. Turn key off back on truck fires once or twice and that's it. Something is telling ECM all is not right and shutting down injectors. Again no fault codes. Oh and hit it with spray and fires so confirms plugs are firing.
    Any ideas?

I'm not a mechanic by any means, but if there's no codes being thrown, and the plugs are firing I'd have to say it has to have something to do with fuel delivery. Might still be some water in the lines or in the intake somewhere. Is the exhaust clear?

Exhaust is clear and confirm fuel at injectors. The pulse to the injectors just shuts down after they initially fire.

    Water in the cylinders?

Not a mechanic by any imagination. But the air intake is under the fender. Unless you've got a snorkel you might have sucked water right into the engine block. Four feet is pretty deep.

I've seen water in the cylinders before. It's not pretty! In that case the engine was toast.

I did a little research but didn't come up with anything. Good luck!

I think this is the issue. Replaced the ECU. I'm pretty sure the Main ECU has to be married to the vehicle VIN Code with the engine immobilizer controller. They will need to match the VIN between them. Right now the main ecu has one vin and the immobilizer has another vin.

Wouldn't that throw a code though?

The new ecu has to be re-synced like Jimmyh said. Or no go.
