I tried it. Didn't do anything for me. Insanity kicked my ass and got me in good shape...but I was scrawny because I dind't even lift.

Insanity was the first thing I did when I wanted to start getting in shape years ago...didn't take long to realize that being in the gym produces better results; it's good for cutting fat, though. I did make me sweat a lot and I struggled to get through the workouts, but it's not the most efficient way to put on mass.

pretty cool. I got an 84.5 (proficient)

    intermediate lifts: back squat :anonymous:
    proficient: deadlift, overhead press
    advanced: pullup, dip, bench press
    powerlifting total: 1085
    wilks score: 332

That really shows how weak my quads are, though...ugh. Gotta work on that.

I ran for the first time last night since the skyzone ankle injury back in March. I was able to sprint full-speed, but I couldn't really cut left or right or stop quickly because the tendons that control my foot rolling left and right are still inflamed/stretched. I'm gonna do some post-workout cardio today and see what happens. Might be a while before I can do some HIIT stuff, but at least I can hit the treadmill. After determining, that, at least until law school begins, my weekends are going to be a trainwreck, I'm going to try to counterbalance it by doing cardio after each workout to burn extra calories. I start law school Aug 15, so at least my partying days are numbered

Insanity is just one routine and more cardio and endurance than anything. Prepping for Mud runs, mt biking etc it's good for. There is BODY beast.. And p90x3, using the mass calendar would be better for that goal.

Just joining the discussion about something that has worked very well for me. If it's not your thing, that's cool.. But what's with the ancient sitcom meme?
    Thanks! Spencer

I'm sure the programs are great, they're just not my thing. If I were getting ready for a Spartan Race or something, I might do it, but my goals are dem gainz and those goals are best achieved in a gym with dumbbells.

Ur good man...I'm either old or crazy or both...

So, I searched and found nothing.

I have a "Dam Store" near my place...you been fishing at Sardis Lake?

ONE EDIT: I'm old...it's in the "what does everybody look like thread"
