I guess that makes it ok. Oh by the way there's also chrome on the sport mirror turn signals. :) A little chrome is ok. :D

Yes... Baked the housing and put the HID with Shroud with Dual-angel ring and turn signal from eBay! $120. Very nice and easy to fit!

Went to the bodyshop to see how my box/tailgate/roof repaint is coming along. Trying to keep the body lasting as long as the new frame now.

The fenders looked surprisingly good behind the flares. Body guy was super surprised. Corrosion along the bed rails is being repaired, as well as any spidering he's found elsewhere. The bed rail corrosion was promoted by the weight of my cap on the plastic rail covers, wearing into the paint. I'm brainstorming for solutions at the moment, but I believe I'm going to get the top of the box and tailgate sprayed with Line-X to prevent future wear under the plastic caps, regardless of future plans for the cap. Body guy also found and properly fixed an interesting half-assed tailgate repair done by the dealership I bought from (I'm second owner - I bought it Toyota Certified Used at 24 months old and knew of a minor repair they were doing).

Lots of roof corrosion along the windshield line caused by rock chips, which was what prompted me to get this started. Caught the issues soon enough that I didn't need to have the windshield pulled.

Looking for info on door handle parts replacement, any info would be awesome. Started a thread for that over here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...oor-handle-assemblies-what-to-replace.385623/

I don't know if he has them but I have seen halo fog lights on eBay. You can get smoked lenses or regular for under $60 I believe.

Just figured I'd let you know

I spotted a can of red plastidip in the garage today and decided to do this. Its nothing crazy but I just couldnt get myself to spend $70 on a TRD shift knob. So now I have my own version of one that only cost me $10! Im happy with it!
