I am looking seriously at making the Pack Rack mine... I have a couple questions though:
    1. the nut inserts, can I only have them on the side? or can I make the placement custom?
    2. For the 1st gen, how does the rack mount?
    3. in a few of the photos I saw a mount for like a CB antenna, is that standard? can I have those on the back for rear lights?
    4. how much would shipping be to 80012 with it welded together?
    5. how does the gear rack mount?
    6. can 4 accessory bars mount on a long bed? (2 on each side?) or would they interfere with each other on the middle mounts?

    thanks

Yeah tried that, they're not open on the weekends, and with my ADD I wanted to throw the questions out just in case I forgot come Monday LOL

Tracy was great when I ordered my front bumper and skids so I have no doubt she will be the same for this (the customer service I received then is what has me choosing to buy from them over having one built locally)

Ahhhhh I gotcha. Well if it helps I just ordered my all pro rack a few weeks ago(hoping Tracy sends me a tracking number anytime soon now haha) but I went ahead and got all the weld nuts put in so I can customize it how I want. I believe there are two nuts on each "vertical slant". One above the other. But I think you may be able to customize their locations... Not sure though. Also shipping gets expensive, my advice if you have a business or a business address you can have it shipped to and if they have a fork truck that could unload the rack that should help your shipping costs a bit.

Ahh ok. yeah I just want an idea for shipping... more than likely, I'll wait until they either do a sale or free shipping (took advantage of that for the bumper and skids) since I don't need it right now, and it'll probably be winter before my RTT is repaired and I have the $ anyways... just trying to get an idea of what I want and how much it's gonna hurt my wallet. LOL.

I wonder what the wait time is to have one welded together and shipped.

If it doesn't hurt your wallet, then it isn't worth it haha. My wallet took a beating. And I think my lead time was 3-4weeks. Dunno if it's changed much though.

    Hey Brandon,

You can pretty much customize the rack to be built to your liking, just let me know what you need. We can do a kit, a welded together rack, tabs, and accessory bars in the location you choose. You can have 4 accessory bars. What you mount to the accessory bars will dictate whether you can use them all at the same time. On the first gen racks, you'll have to drill holes on the inside of your bed to bolt the rack to. The gear rack mounts to your bed with bolts, like the pack rack.

I will get you a shipping quote tomorrow for a kit and a welded together rack to a business and residential address so you can do the comparisons.

Let me know if you have any questions in the mean time.

    Tracy

    cool.

I'm trying to figure out what rack height I'm looking for. I like the way Brownies rack is, but being it's a 2nd gen and I'm first gen... I doubt the measurements are the same.

They are within a 1/2" of each other, between the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Tacoma. We send the rack out in a kit at 20-1/2", which is slightly higher than cab height. Brownie's is 16" right now. If you order yours at 16", it would look the same.

I sent you a PM with the shipping quote.

Finally got my rack installed just in time for my trip. This thing is better than I even expected and looks freaking awesome. Outstanding job from all pro and shout out to Tracy for a great deal and for answering all my questions in detail and in an extremely timely manner. Couldn't be happier! image.jpg image.jpg

Current: BHLM, plasti dip badges/bumper, Satoshi homer taco style grille, custom TRD, pack rack Marshall fab, window tint, interior paint job, ome lift, wheels spacer, white light interior, retrofit headlights.
If a canvas wrap does come I'll buy a Pack rack right away. That is the only thing holding me back.
