It took about 5 months, but I got the "anything except white" Tacoma I wanted.

I waited 10 weeks for a Blue Ribbon Metallic with JBL. It was well worth the wait. Absolutely love this truck.

I wouldn't have been too picky about color, but 4X4 wasn't debatable. The dealer I wanted to use didn't have a 4X4 on the lot so I test drove a Pre-Runner exactly like I wanted. The dealer went on-line to see what was available at other dealers within a days drive and gave me a list of 4-5 just like I wanted. I picked the white one. They had it the next day.

I was torn between grey and pyrite mica, really loved both colors

My 2012 was a dclb grey which I loved but hated parking garages because the long bed doesn't park so easy

Got creamed by an old dude and totaled the truck

Then got a pyrite dcsb TRD OR and love it even more. The shorter wheel base is like a car in the parking garages at work

If the dealer would have made a good deal on another color I probably would have taken it but he only was going about $200 less for the spruce truck on the lot

I like the spruce in the shade but in the sun it had an odd shade/sparkle to it. My son said it kinda looks like a gay leprechaun vampire

    Pyrite Mica for the win!!

Dealer had a Silver DCSB OR on the lot but I wanted black. They offered 1k off to take the silver truck but I told them no. They ended up letting me take the silver one for three days until my black truck showed up from another dealership.

Kinda funny the salesman said "hey, take this one in the mean time, but don't, ya know go driving everywhere". Yeah ok..

I settled... mainly because my wife has a black 4Runner and it seemed odd to have two black trucks. it was my third choice behind the dark blue and grey. I am glad I got it though, I like the all black look more than I thought I would.

Also, it is hard to be picky when you are looking used and looking a good price.

I settled on white, only because I had a few more days left on my rental car from my accident, and didn't feel like paying 30 bucks a day for a car while the dealership took their time ordering. Wasn't my first choice in color, but it grew on me. I can now say I am glad I settled. Wouldn't want any other color now

I went in wanting a 4x4 but they took so much off for a 4x2 I bought it in the spot. I also wanted a different color than metallic silver but in the long run I'm happy with the color choice!!!...

On the no. Fl. and so. Ga. dealer lots each had one rc 4x4 and claimed it was the last one they would get (Mar 2014). Ga. had the mgm and fl. had the one that glowed in the dark, at a $1000.00 cheaper. Decided to go cheap and not get the mgm.....had many second thoughts about that decision.

My color choice was for the interior. I wanted tan/beige, but that color is extremely rare. Almost all 2014 Tacomas came with graphite interiors. So I settled on white exterior. I would have preferred something with a little more character. I searched almost all of the Gulf States dealers and found that approximately one in thirty Tacomas had tan interiors.

I ended up driving 300 miles to get mine. And I live in an area with about 10 or 12 Toyota dealers.

After reviewing the color selections for 2015, I decided on pyrite mica. They had to search to find me a DCSB TRD Offroad in 6-speed manual, but one was located in a neighboring state. It took a few weeks for them to get it in, but I got what I wanted.

Ordered mine and got everything I wanted.......on the second try. Went to several dealers in January of this year wanting to trade my '08 Sierra Z71 4x4. Thought I could settle for a 2wd. Got the best deal on a DCLB SR5 PreRunner 4.0 auto in MGM. After about 6 weeks knew I really wanted a Barcelona Red Metallic DCSB TRD OR 4x4. The closest one was at a dealer about 300 miles away and I did not want someone else putting the first 300 miles on my new truck. Dealer ordered one for me and got it about 3 weeks later with 2 miles on it.

Very happy with the color even though I also liked MGM

Bottom line get what you want the first time. Your wallet and personal satisfaction will appreciate it.

We bought slightly used, so ended up with black - which I'm okay with. Black is classic and badass. But if I had had my choice I probably would have went with Pyrite.

I like dark colors, but I don't like the way they look during the winter when we have salt all over the roads.....

I like red, but 3 of the last 4 trucks I've owned were red. Time for a change.

I kinda like SOME white vehicles, but just can't quite make that move....

Out of the 40-some odd vehicles I've owned over the past 45 years, #1, #2, and #3 favorites were silver. Can't buck the odds....

Silver it is! So far, this one is now either #1 or #2 on the list, making the top 4 silver! Did I mention I really REALLY like this truck?
