I don't think you'll have a bro lean problem. I had my 100lb lab mix and me (165) in the bed with my dakars and even jumping up and down it barely moved an inch. Dakars give a good rake

I have 887 in the front, Dakars in the rear. Just put on a canopy and it made no noticeable difference. Rides like a dream.

How is the ride now with the bumper and the 886....and did you lose any lift? This is exactly what I am planning on ordering very soon.

I'm not gonna lie, it's rough compared to stock. But not horrible and Colorado roads are terrible anyways. If you can deal with a stiff ride, get the 886's. I didn't lose any lift with the bumper

The springs do need to settle though so they might soften up a bit

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I lost some lift on my 886s when I installed an AP bumper and skid. Threw in a 1/4" top plate spacer and got it all back. Springs were stiff enough I decided to sway bar delete. About 40k on them and still loving it.

Hey guys, just doing some research for the future, if i went with a 3 inch lift whats the biggest size tires i could accomadate? I plan on dakars in rear, still not sure what id like up front, id prefer to one day have a legit plate bumper. I would like to have 33 inch tires... is it possible

I was rubbing w/ 32"x10" until I installed LR UCAs and cheated the top of the spindle forward a little bit. I'm looking to relocate the forward cab mount and bash the bodywork to hopefully move into the 33-34" range. I can't lose clearance at full stuff, so new fenders are probably unavoidable at that point.

You can get 33" in there, just gotta do all the clearance work.

I also sway bar deleted. I'll see in a month or so when the springs settle how she rides

First of 7 packages arrived this morning from Headstrong. Extremely excited to put my new suspension on.

Big ups to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road , @YotaDan at Wheelers, and Micah @Downsouth Motorsports ! All were prompt in getting back to me and provided me with exceptional customer service. I am sure I will be doing business with you all in the future as these lovely little trucks just never seem quite complete;)

I also owe a debt of gratitude to all the great folk that have shared their knowledge with us on TW and helped me to make my decision re. suspension! Many thanks for answering my questions guys:thumbsup:

    Pics to come..

Sort of.. I broke a rear shock in Cali and had been looking into what to do about it. At first I considered just getting some Nitros in the rear and waiting to do the rest of the kit later but I figured what the hell, I'll save some money and do it all now! In hindsight goin wheelin with the broken shock maybe wasn't the brightest thing to do...

Just put 887's on my Tacoma after recommendations to go that way from numerous folks here in TW.

    Michelin LTX M/S 2 265/70/16 tires.

With the 887's I think I got a little less than 3" up front. Also replaced my UCA's with Light Racing UCA's. I ordered my complete kit from Headstrong Off-road and it included everything needed. My truck still has a little bit of forward rake so far as I can tell. Granted there's no weight on the rear end!

OME Nitrocharger Sport Shocks Front & Rear
Full Dakar Leaf Pack (replacement not AAL)
    887 Springs up Front
    Light Racing UCA's

    Thanks.

Consider your UCAs. Lifting over 2"-2.5" makes things more difficult to align with the stock UCAs I'm told. That's why I upgraded mine. Shop got me aligned just fine that way.

Edit: BTW this is anecdotal as I never tested and measured but I think my turning radius is tighter with the UCAs. Not positive but I think I may get more wheel turn.

Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely going with Light Racing UCA's. I'm very fortunate and just so happen to live about 15 minutes from Headstrong Offroad. Spoke to Marie and they have everything waiting for me. Now I'm just waiting to get released from work so I can go pick up the goodies. @Kyitty
