I could have sworn he had an ARB in the front of that beast. Guess 35's and long travel are the trick.

Sounds like maybe they need to limit the drivers that attempt more then simply close it down for good.

Thanks for the kind words Eric! lol :D Nope, no front locker, i'm sure the LT helped by keeping the tires on the ground. I did have to drive through the mud bog at the bottom of the wall to get past some jeeps, so it was slippery as shit for me too o_O.

That article is upsetting. SAR is inherently part of their jobs and it looks like it only took them 90 minutes to rectify the situation, whats the big deal? Maybe use their resources more efficiently? Maybe ban Florida drivers? What do you think Charlie?:p

    Had a great time guys!

I think we'll let you go ahead and master the CB first James...
No sense in having two radios you can't operate properly

Thinking about going on a rant about you finishing this trip report though :D

    Day 4: Engineer>Mineral Creek>Corkscrew>Hurricane Pass>California Pass>Stony Pass

Saturday morning woke up to the sun shining after being overcast and raining most of the previous day, Diesel taking it in as usual.

The path so far, beginning from the start of Black Bear off of 550 (south of the truck), to the start of Corkscrew, current position.

After Engineer, we went down Mineral Creek, which was probably the second roughest/difficult section so far, after Poughkeepsie. Following lunch at the start of Corkscrew, up to the Red Mountains with more spectacular views, then up Hurricane Pass to overlook Lake Como and Poughkeepsie where we had been the day prior, completing another big loop.
