VR8000 is in Warn's "Entry Level Series" whereas the M8000 is in the "Premium Series"

    Link for proof: https://www.warn.com/truck/winches/line.shtml

My best guess is how waterproof the housing is, efficiency/power draw of winch motor, etc... M8000 is better IMHO

Only Mod is the box liner on the rockers and up the doors all other work has just been repairs, looking forward to future build.
Hey just some advice for your sliders if they haven't been painted yet. give them a sand with something like 80-120 grit to get them nice and scratched up then clean it up with something like paint thinner and then wipe again after they are dry with clean shop towels (the blue ones), then use a few coats of bare metal primer and finish with some dupli-color bed armor or other spray on box liner that will give it a nice grip if your going to double them as steps and it patches real easy if it gets damaged you can't even see where the scratches used to be and its almost impossible to screw up.

I use this stuff for a cool metal finish on my nerf guns which are in the back of my 4runner right now. never thought about using it on my 4runner might look pretty good do you have any pictures of it on a build?
