TRD supercharger availability update

Haha I totally love the sound now! Can't even hear the intake over the exhaust and blower! In my non SC'd truck the intake made it loud lol...so yea...

Anybody willing to help a fellow member out? WHERE CAN I BUY A SUPERCHARGER AND FIT KIT??? Without paying $8,500 from Mesa AZ. I'm coming in late on the game here I know but I only found out about them being discontinued two days ago. I just bought a 2015 in April and was planning on doing the charger in December. Since I heard the news I have gone through all 36 pages of this thread TWICE and have used partsvoice as well as following up on every dealer lead I've heard of with no luck.

This is my 5th Tacoma, my first 3 all had chargers and my last one did not. This part is not a want item for me it is a NEED item for me. Ive had this 2015 truck build drawn up on paper for the last 5 years and this is really throwing a wrench in my plans. Any help or ideas from anyone would be much appreciated. I have cash and am willing to travel out of state for local pick up if need be from a dealer this shouldn't be that hard.

Mightymouse- would your friend who bought two already and possibly a third by now be willing to sell one? With a little profit built in of course.

Mjslasher-did you ever stop by irving and pick any up like you stated in one of your earlier post?

XeddeX- I actually spoke to Gadget yesterday about eta status of the URD wiring but didn't tjink to ask him if he was holding on to any trd's. I'll give him another call today.

For those who are curious about the URD, he said that he has had major production issues fpr the last bit of the kit and has gone through 4 manufactures. Eta was 18 months ago and he's still waiting.

I thought unichip was pretty debunked for tuning wise? Has that changed and its a viable source for tuning?

 

Unichip just sucks because it's locked. It's only tunable by Unichip dealers, who charge a massive premium and are often just using a boxed tune from what I've read up here. I wouldn't use it, but if your local shop is a dealer and does legit tuning with the Unichip it could be worth it.

I just bought an M90 rebuild kit from ebay....snout bearings,coupler, oil&syringe, gasket maker. $86

I've only had my s/c on for just under 300 miles. I got it for when it's needed.

What's the rebuild times on everything? When should I be pulling spark plugs and checking snout oil? Every 50k or so?

 

100k is what I have read here. I'll prolly do plugs at 60k.

 

rebuild at 75k, I believe.
