    Hey guys,

I just purchased a 2015 TRD Pro last week.

It comes with a TRD air filter. Would an intake give me more efficiency and power? If so, what do y'all recommend?

I also have a hi-lift that I used on my last vehicle. Is there another jack or a base for the bottle jack that would be better and what is the best system to carry a hi-lift in a Tacoma?

Lastly, for now, is there a small spacer lift, maybe an inch or two? I like the how my truck handles but I am loaded up a lot of the time so I want my ride higher once I'm loaded up to be what my un loaded height is.

Also, what do you need to do to get the dogs to run with the brights?

    Thanks!

    3.
You already have the Pro suspension, which is about a 2" leveling lift up front over stock and upgraded extended travel shocks all the way around. If you want better handling/height when loaded you may look at a 1.5" 3 leaf progressive add-a-leaf (AAL) for the rear. I went with the Icons on a similar setup and really like the way it handles.

Don't pull out your Pro suspension for 5100s, that would be a major downgrade.

I don't really want to change the suspension out to OME at this point. I like how it handles. I want a spacer to compensate for the weight. This is done on a lot of rigs, Wranglers, trucks, etc. including leveling kits from the dealer although that's only the front and I need the front and rear. So what's wrong with it? The Bilstien reservoirs that come with the truck aren't, so I wasn't looking to junk them in the first week.

I'm not ditching the Pro suspension. It's pretty good.

Where would I find that progressive leaf and will it stay soft? I like compliant suspension - stiff won't work for how I use my vehicles anyways.

It isn't stiff, it is tight and controlled and removing the overload actually makes the ride better. Your rear shocks have almost 1.5" longer drop than stock, so you should be find with the additional height in the back.

Edit: I don't know why this link is being difficult, and redirected but copy and paste the whole link in your browser.

Yep. I'll post a write up on it soon, it is a pretty easy install. It will reduce sag when the bed is loaded, and being a 3 leaf progressive spring it provides a smother ride than the single leaf AAL.

Edit: BTW, welcome to TW and congrats on the truck!

The overload is the flat inverted metal 'spring' at the bottom of the leaf pack. It prevents the springs from over compressing. If you are loading your truck to capacity or doing heavy towing, you should keep it. The AAL will give you additional spring capacity enough for most to remove the overload. You can also keep the overload when installing the AAL, but people report ride is better without it.

It is the bottom spring pictured in this thread. I didn't need to do any bracket cutting mentioned in here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/installing-icon-aal-on-the-stock-4-leaf-pack.315110/

The other common 3 leaf AAL progressives are Toytec has their own brand version, as does Wheelers. I went with Icon because they are widely known to produce exceptional quality suspension components, and they are only a couple more dollars (literally) than Toytec.

I absolutely am not an expert on the suspension components of Tacoma trims, but huh? 5100s added to a Pro?

Does anyone know what you need to do to get the fogs to run with the brights?

your front is already 2" higher, if you insist on "spacers" I would just do a 1 or 1.5" block in the back which will get rid of the nose high look

I don't mind the nose high look and it gets over the washboards at high speed nicely. I don't want to change the dynamics of the suspension. I simply want to boost it a little so that it had preload which will keep me at the factory height of the truck when I'm loaded up. This would be like adjusting to the next preload ramp on adjustable coil overs.

What are y'all's using for CB's in these trucks?

I have a portable and an all in one unit that would need to be hard wired.

Just did the fog light mod. Works as advertised.

You might also read up on the Firestone Ride Rite Airbags. Lots of good info on this site about them. Put them on my Pro along with the Daystar Cradles and they work great. Have been running them on my 02 Tundra for a decade plus and like what they do in both cases.
