BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
That's going to be awesome at the mall!

The 2016 is the ultimate two-face truck. Sometimes it looks rather handsome and sometimes it looks like crap.

Yeah you're right, my mall happens to have speed bumps so I might end up getting the TRD OR after all.

Aug 17th for specs. Yeah, crawl control is just another gimmick like the GoPro mount but just a lot more expensive.

Doesn't look like they were using crawl control very often in that video.

What tires are those? They look like street tires

I hope the sun roof is an option on the Off Road. I don't want a stupid sun roof

I feel that simply "crawl control" is your foot, don't need Any fancy device to help crawling

everything i hear is that it's actually pretty impressive...foot off the brake and let it do its thing..steep incline, rocky terrain, deep sand, etc...

i still like the challenge of wheeling a stick through obstacles, but seems like a great feature for those who will be getting a '16

and the specs are already in the hands of those who will be spreading the word :spy:

That video's pretty misleading. He didn't try backing out in regular 4wd - he only tried going forward. Then he crawled out backward. OK. Would have been impressed if he crawled forward, or if he had already tried backing out in reg 4wd and failed.

That's a valid point... I will say however the other vehicles Toyota has this technology on is no joke and in fact very useful. I know there are offroad purest that says this is nothing more than gimmicks, and you're not a real offroader if you use this crap... but you can't deny the actual performance of this tech on their other vehicles... proven to be pretty awesome.

looks like the narrator is standing by an Access Cab whereas the truck in the video is a DC

Yup - and TRAC and A-TRAC are great in some situations but its goofy to say "hey look - in 4wd we can't get up this hill, but with the magic of crawl control, we can back down it!" If they were going to show how it works, get stuck going uphill, then turn it on and proceed uphill.

Crawl Control looks like a pretty cool feature, but I was wondering if it does anything to help get power to wheels with traction? I know you can just lock the rear on the TRD Off Road, but does Crawl Control do anything with the front wheels to keep from having one wheel spinning in the air and the other on the ground getting no power?
