Generic picture from SCS but these are it and they do come with the key. I just went out to the shed and realized that I put them in my storage down the road. I got them when I bought my wheels and already had a set so I never opened them and I no longer have the Tacoma.

These look like acorn lug nuts...not mag style... for steel wheels they are okay...for alloy wheels...I believe they will damage your wheels. This only applies to factory wheels... for aftermarket...most are acorn style.

The never damaged my alloy wheels. And I had them on 2 sets of alloys. Not only that if the did cause damage why would SCS sell them for use on their alloy wheels.

I don't mean to poo on your post...I just wanted to let folks know that if they buy this type of lug nuts...they need to know if they use FACTORY wheels... they have to use mag style. It has a washer and no bevel edges. Acorn are designed for some steel factory wheels like the 5 luggers and most aftermarket wheels. If your wheels are factory, maybe you don't see the damage, but if you google mag style and factory wheels...that's what discussed. I wish there was only 1 or two standards. I have factory mitsubishi wheels I'm going to put on my truck and they require mag style.

There are reasons for mag style and acorn lug nuts. Typically acorn have bevel so as you tighten the lug, it centers the wheel. For wheels that requires mag style...it's more of a compression fit where the washer pushes the wheel to the rotor. If the hole opening is larger and you use an acorn type lug nut...the lug is tight, but the wheel is loose because the bevel end makes contact the the rotor first...so you think the wheel is tight, but really it's not...just the lugs are tight.

Again I didn't want to crap on your thread...just wanted to point out the for factory wheels if they use mag style lug nuts...you must use mag style after market lugs as well if you are upgrading....can't use acorn/beveled edges. Factory wheels that have bevel edges like the steel wheels uses acorn style...so for my 5 lugger...I can't use the lug nuts I have...my wheels I bought uses mag style...so I need to buy new lug nuts that mag style. Take care!

They are acorn lug nuts but they have extra tread. So they are called "ET spline acorn lug nuts" These lugs are design for aftermarket wheels for Toyotas Lexus vehicles with wheels that use mag shank lugs. They are design to get extra tread turns on your studs, versus your basic acorn spline lug nuts. These will not fit steel wheels and only design for alloy wheels.

So you saying the bevel edges won't F up my nice alloy wheels? I know the mag style shank with the washer...there's less chance of that happening.

BTW, I'm honored that you joined for so long and posted this cool bit to educate me. Saying with all sincerity...no sarcasm seeing you only have 4 post :).

Jon, Sorry if you felt I made it hard for your sale thread...I can delete my comments if you want... I just wanted to warn folks if they wouldn't work for their stock wheels.

Yes. Shank lug are design for Factory Toyota Lexus Mitsubishi wheels are specifically design to fit shank style lug nuts and only shank. If you try fitting "ET spline" lugs, when you install them and then torque them down. You are only damaging the wheel hole and forcing the lug nut into the lug hole(possibly causing the wheel to eventually loosen up and have a wheel fall off). These are the style of lug nuts I run on my set up. image.jpg

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Great price for a good set of Gorilla lugs. If I didn't already have a set of these holding my pro-comps snug I'd be all over this. Bump for a good deal.
