Bought new tacoma in June of this year. I put 4000 km on in August road trip. Anyway the two of us and one black lab are enjoying the new ride. The dog needs more room, and I want to remove sub. I have pulled and prodded but am afraid of breaking something. I don't want to pay toyota to have this done. Please respond. Thanks

I tried prying with my hands and even working a nylon strap in behind to pull it off with no success. I finally used a hammer claw and the cover popped right off. You'll need to be cautious with this approach as you can end up scratching the plastic quite easily.

So Basically, pull on the cover till she pops off? Once the sub was off, what was left, was it an unfinished mess, or just a couple of screw holes?

    Cool. Thanks.
Does anyone know if this unit has a built in amp?
Would I be able to pick up the audio signal from the harness to run to my Infinity Basslink?
