Im not running anything yet. I have used a couple arb systems that work well Imo and I have been looking more into the air tank ideas which seem to be cheaper. But I like the compact size of the arb and how it mounts in the engine bay personally. Every inch of space is vital for us expo guys

There is a rubber grommet by your driver seat you can use to get the wire under the truck. Then feed the cable throughout the bed.

Is arb pretty much the most reliable leader in this area? I've seen some other companies, but arb seems to be everywhere, I just don't necessarily want to pay for the arb name if there's an equal.

I've been very pleased with my Viair compressor. 400P-A I think. Fairly quiet, pretty quick with 33s in the past.

Icon MT suspension, Pelfreybuilt front bumper, Relentless skids, Avid sliders, Avid custom rack. Pelfreybilt HC Rear bumper.
I use a Vair compressor mounted inside the rear fender on what I like to call the tail-light bulkhead so it uses no space and is out of sight. I have a 3 gallon steel air tank mounted crosswise under the bed where the factory spare tire was. (My spare is on a swing-out part of the Pelfreybilt high-clearance rear bumper). I built an aluminum manifold that the compressor and tank hook into and it has a quick disconnect air chuck for airing up tires as well as a regulator set to 80 PSI which then drived the ARB solenoids. The manifold is mounted inside the cubby on the passenger side. It all seems to work well, but as Andrew said the ARB compressors work well and you just bolt it down and run the airlines. I wanted air up capability so it would eliminate the smallest ARB compressor. You could probably get away with a 1 gallon air tank if you want to build your own system.

Some guys like the CO2 tank for on-board-air. This would be easy as no wiring, but I do not know how they control the pressure for the air lockers. ARB says 80 to 90 PSI, no idea what pressure a CO2 tank has, but it probably is temperature related?? When you want your lockers is no time to find out it is too high or too low! If you want OBA just for tires then don't pay much attention to pressure and the CO2 tanks are about as quick for filling tires as it goes. (But when the tank is empty it is just dead weight). Hopefully some CO2 tank guys will add to this information.

They make regulators for CO2 tanks to run lockers and air tools

I think I prefer to have a solid mounted compressor and a 1 gallon tank and a manifold mounted somewhere. I would really only want it to air up tires and the occasional air mattress and maybe air tool use.

    Thanks guys

The regulator on the tank determines the output pressure. Mine is set to 150 psi and is not adjustable. They make adjustable ones though. The tsnks hold an incredibly high volume of co2 because it is mostly liquid in the tank.
