Have you replaced your TPMS sensors? If so, which ones did you use?

I will have to replace at least two... My dumb *** put steel caps on the valves that are now siezed on. My guess is they will be broken when I purchase new tires her shortly. Interested in hearing what route everyone takes

Here is what I've been able to learn by doing a little research:

The sensors have batteries and are sealed and not serviceable. They typically last between 5-13 years with the average being (7) years. The batteries dying is what kills them.

Here are market replacements that I've been able to find:
    1. Toyota Genuine OEM TPMS Sensor Part #4260704010 (w/40* angle) $59
    2. Toyota Genuine OEM TPMS Sensor Part #4260704011 (w/20* angle) $59
    3. Schrader 28360 TPMS Sensor fits Toyota $56 (each)
    4. Dorman 974-033 Toyota Tire Pressure Monitor System sensor $29 (each)
    5. VDO SE10002 REDI-Sensor $35
Also important is the kind of wheel you have, apparently the sensors are angled to fit the different factory wheels.

Little late to the party here, but it looks like I should replace mine when I go to new tires on my '09.

Anybody have problems with any of the above brands?

I put metal valve stem caps on mine. I am guessing I should remove them? What happens with the metal caps?

Yeah one of mine magically quit working right after I got my truck back from getting new tires last time. My truck is a 2011.

I used the Dorman units and surprise surprise, the truck recognized them right away, no issues!

I ended up just keeping the 2009 ones I have. So far they are all still working. :fingerscrossed:

Just replaced all 5 of mine not too long ago. 9 years and 195k miles later. One quit so I just changed all of them since it was only a matter of time.

    Does a 2011 have 4 or 5 sensors?
