Hey all, I don't have a taco but I'm convinced on getting one. I don't like how low the 5 lug tacoma sits so I was wondering if that is just that they have small tires or if you need a lift to fix that issue. Thank you.

Yeah I know but I was wondering is if bigger tires would make it ride higher

They can be lifted and have larger tires (235s) but will still be shorter than base model 4x4 and Prerunner.

There is a 5 lug section with lift info and pics. I'll find a link.

    Welcome to TW.

Big issues are smaller tires and wheels, and the spring under axle. That said, I have no lift and run 245/75/16s and it made a big difference.

Only equal to the radius increase of the new wheel/tire combo. If you want a lift, buy a 6 lug or prepare to spend some bucks changing the suspension.
