Wow, its amazing to see the amount of information here on this site! I didn't realize that tacoma's had such a strong community behind them, makes me love my truck even more than I already do!

I just bought a 2011 White Tacoma TRD Off Road and I have quickly fallen in love! With that being said, I have a few questions that I was curious about just by looking at other forums on here!

What's the deal with the tailgates? Are they stolen easily? Ive seen people talking about securing them so they don't get taken?

Why do bull bars get a bad rap?

And lastly, how do i get my free sticker???

Excited to hear by from my fellow Taco owners!!!

    Too many to list now.
Bull bars get a bad wrap because in the event of a front end collision they alone can do pretty devastating amounts of damage to YOUR vehicle. They're attached to a single point low on the frame that acts as a fulcrum when it has force applied to it. First thing that gets destroyed is your grill, then the radiator gets crushed spilling all your coolant, beyond that if they have enough force applied they can get all the way to the fan I believe. Just messy. Most folks would tell you to save your pennies on those and get a real aftermarket bumper. I personally don't see anything wrong with aftermarket accessories like that provided they dont inhibit function in any way. This one does not make that list however since it can do so much damage.

    PM @tcBob for a sticker

The hose clamp mod is what you can search for on your tailgate, they're just easily removed so in the event someone damages theirs, (they're also notoriously weak) it isn't hard for someone with less scruples to go get one from you if you haven't taken the few minutes it takes to deter them.

Welcome to TW my friend! Hope you learn tons, and contribute more!
