    A-Trac is for 4wd-Lo going 5 mph in heavy off road environment. The only perk for regular driver is if you were stuck and needed to get out of snow or something. All Tacoma models are so capable you won't miss it.

    I hear you my friend. Thanks for all the info. You have been a lot of help. What color are you planning to get ? The only thing I expect is the manual to be better that the 2nd gen. I have heard it has not been such a good transmission

    There is another thread for review of the new manual tranny with Mike Sweers video, but no official reviews yet: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/any-reviews-on-the-manual-transmission.388143/

    In short the new manual trans should be greatly improved over the previous gen. Mike Sweer's the chief engineer prefers a manual transmission and he had nothing but good things to say about it.

    MGM=Magnetic Gray Metallic :)

    Will do, I think the MGM will look good on all available models.

    Cheers

    The sport also has a front air dam where the OR does not.

    That's true. I tend to forget because if I bought a model with the air dam it would be the first thing to come off.

    They look amazing on anything. They make the truck lighting look like it's from this century.

    Can that be done easily (say, in an hour or two at home with conventional tools) or is it involved?

    I'm not exactly sure how they are attached on the tacoma, but air dams are usually 2-4 small bolts. I read in another thread that they are easily removable. I'm sure you could do it in 20 minutes or less with a set of wrenches.

    I saw a Tacoma at the Auto show. All you need is a #2 Philips screwdriver and remove 8 screws underneath. Not hard to get at all.

    Looks like from the vehicle info in the profile, the OP got a Sport 7 years ago.
